@Sokuom cause mantras which your soul recognizes, of whatever religion, can wash the inner forgotten pain of the soul and wash our sins and karma away! me and my husband have the same when we go to kirtan or to Gurdwara of the Sikhs I felt much more than I always felt with catholisism, then I changed into Sikhism, now I feel more universal as I never felt being a catholic as anyone else will go to hell, now I believe that anyone else in whatever religion belong to heaven!

I mean no disrespect, but I can't understand hinduism. I feel as tyhough it has been altered, as it was manipulated by the British to get rid of practices that they didn't like. But what about now? Is this the same hindu religion of old, or is the old one gone?

There is no such religion as hinduism. Hinduism is a word that europeans used to describe all the religions of people who live near river Sindhu (Hind).

There are different religions in India - Vaishnavism, Shaktism, Shivaism.

I practice Vaishnavism - worshipping Vishnu or Krishna.

My guru is from ancient spiritual tradition and neither he nor his gurus had never been influenced by british.

Chant Gauranga and be happy.

@PowaN44b religion, especially that of Krishna consciousness is perfect and logical in every way. It's the sick minds of people who are corrupt deep in their hearts that ruin the beauty of religion. There is so much beauty, love and common sense in it, but people like to change religion to fit their own agendas and fight their own battles...and that's where the problem comes from...it's not religion or love for God that's sick, its people who are sick.
