thats freakin sweet. i have a 15 inch sub but i need to make a box. i have no idea on how to make them or what kinda amo i should use to power it......any ideas?

how did u have your x-over, gain, and bass boost settings on your kicker zx amp?

@m0rtin all i did was the installation bro, as far as messing around with the crossover i let this stereo company do that, i called kicker to see how to set up the bass boost: turn bass boost (on the amp and remote knob) all the way up to adjust the gain, the gain setting all depends on what type of unit you have

hey man not hatin but this is why i will never do a box like that or put subs under my backseat facin out way to easy to hurt ur high dollar subs but hey i didnt front the bill so i have no say so just my two cents

shit my lil bro threw a phone at my brand new 15" l7 and he fuckn broke it to but i bought some strong ass glue used for plastic and just put the broken piece off and was good as new..lol but nice set up and box ..oh and just bought a zx 1000.1 amp today!!!can wait to hook it up!

Thats the 08, this is my first kicker setup so I dont know if its better than the others or not.

does the 15 and that amp pound???? also um does the amp power it properly??? and you thikn 2 15" l7 and that amp would be good or should i get a bigger amp? nice setup sorry bout the sub i seen it coming though

Yea, it sets off car alarms. but i have too much air space for a sealed box though.

nice setup man, i got one of those L7 also but in a ported box, and waitin to get the same amp.

What happened whenthe 4 gauge melted? nothing caught on fire i hope

Yea, it was 4 gauge wire, the package said that it was rated up to a 2000 watt amp but i should've listen to the kicker representative at first...0 GAUGE WIRE!

My fuse blew and the fuse box melted. Make sure you set your gain properly also, that could do it too, by matching the voltage from the rca cables.

Was it Kicker 4awg wire or some other brand? the salesman i spoke with today told me Kickers 4gauge is fine for the zx1000.1

The 4 gauge wasn't the kicker brand...thats probably why it melted. but my 0 gauge wire is the kicker brand. Thanks
