good job, i would suggest recording with audactiy, its a free audio editing software, you can record audio with audacity and recorded with your webcam at the same time. a little more work but i will sound a lot better.

Anywhere between 5 minutes-several hours

No teacher

Depends on which song. Easy song takes about some minutes to learn by ear. Harder songs can take a lot of time. You find many mistakes and you have to correct them all the time and so on. Especially solos.

When you first try to learn a song..do you see any tabs to take an idea or it's all by ear?

1) I really don't know. Maybe like a a week to get it sounding close to perfect. The solo took like some hours. Amazing Slow Downer is a great program for listening to solos at a slow pace.

2) I check tabs first to see what tuning it most probably is and then I check some tabs after creating my own as a comparison and eventually change things here and there.
