ey how do u change the setting from interlaced (50i) to progressive (25 p) cuz it says on the manual, that even though u set it to 25 p, it will be stored in progressive mode
definitely, asked around today. Sony HVR-V1 is currently the best around the budget range currently. with its XLR inputs and the video capabilities. can't ask for more man. I'm gonna get it soon. EGGXCITED
I only had the money for the v1... but I found I wanted a smaller model, similar to the fx 7 - then this baby came out, and it had the mic inputs, so I was happy.
Picture quality in the v1 compared to z1 are basically the same. Ive forgotten now about the z1, but i remember it was too expensive for me, when the V1 could give me what I wanted + more.

Not near the budget range. You can find a FX7 around $1,500 - $2,000 if you buy it smart. The V1 is around double the price.
