scalp alopecia/ and eczema very painful probably the reason I cant lead a normal life as a black woman but I dont trust the doctors every thing they give you makes it worse
oh my gosh you know you have this one loser disliking some of the videos I watched smh....but anywhos....what about drinking water? can that help anyone with tinea of the scalp?
I had been suffering the problem for 3 - 4 months, I went to visit the doctor and they gave me some pils and beprogel, at first it works , but after a few weeks, it comes back, and now its getting worse, my scalp feel itchy and I can see some spot on my scalp lost hair and it never grow back! omg!
@Yvesyew You must not be from US. They only sell beprogel outside of the US. It is used for skin lesions as steroid helps reduce an allergic reaction and inflammation of any kind. So it doesn't treat the problem which could be scalp fungus. He/she prescribed you a pill if I'm correct.i don't know what he gave you.
@Yvesyew I'm not a doctor but I can tell you to go to a different doctor. Tell he/she everything that is the problem don't leave out anything. Ask for a skin biopsy of the scalp to find out what is growing on your scalp. This will help the doctor to give you a pill that will better treat the scalp irritant.
@1mits1 thanks for your advice, yes you are right, I am not from the US, I am from Malaysia. So that beprogel thingy isn't a cure to kill the fungus? aw, Can you please tell me how the tea tree oil helps?
@Yvesyew Tea tree oil has beneficial medical properties when applied topically, including antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral action...Tea tree oil is toxic when taken internally, and so should never be added to food or drinks.
@Yvesyew Tea tree oil is a known antifungal agent, effective in vitro against multiple dermatophytes found on the skin.[13] In vivo, shampoo with 5% tea tree oil has been shown to be an effective treatment for dandruff due to its ability to treat Malassezia furfur, the most common cause of the condition.[14] Just a few drops of tea tree oil added to a small to medium sized bottle of baby shampoo
Thanks 4 replying so quickly, really appreciate it. Quick question is the nizoral a shampoo? can you give me the full description of the products if its not a bother. i'm using the internet on my phone so they dont really show clearly.
very informative girl, glad i found ur video. My hair has fallen out up to my ears& theres a seemingly bald spot at the nape. I'm from jamaica and i thought the cold weather and the water was the culprit for a while butmy head was flaking alot and it itches at the back. My two & half year old daughter has patches fallen out at the back of her head also and keeps scratching it. Do u thinnnk its someform of fungus?
@kimoni6 It very well could be. You might what to go to the derm doc asap. Treat it before it gets worse because it can cause permant hair loss if you let it fester to long. Fear not get some tea tree oil and some fungus shampoo until you can go to the doctor. hope things workout for you.
@marquila2007 Oh gurl, I have never really used one before. What I do is I just switch up my cream of natures shampoo, every now and then, for a more drying or stripping one..... I use head and shoulders but I would not recommend that to you.... eeeek sorry
This is a great video!!! This video is a great reminder of why we shouldn't self-treat everything. This video is also a great reminder of why I never use other people's hair utensils & why I never let them use mine.
Also, I don't know how prevalent that idea is, but it makes me want to do a mini personal survey for the ppl I am around.. Just to see what they think about it.. Because i heard it sooo much while growing up (dirt makes the hair grow faster).. And now that i think about it, ppl probably think that because their scalp is icthing alot, so they're prob thinking ""oh my hair is growing, b/c my scalp is itching!! Lol.. Js a few thoughts of mine. Lol
Thanks mits for a another great video!! I think I have an answer for your curiosity about the idea of not washing hair in the black community.. Ever since I've been natural, I've realized the importance of having a clean scalp. One day when I was talking to one of my relaxed friends about how often I wash my hair, she totally disagreed. She says "but dirty hair grows faster!" That comment in itself brought me back. I remember hearing that alot when growing up. Has anyone else heard that too?
@mimi504 Yesss i heard that sooo many times!!!! Especially with women that are relaxed they dont wanna wash out their perm!!! Which makes me think how can you wash out a chemical??? LOL
@mimi504 wow i do remember someone saying that to me like a long time ago. I almost had forgot. How popular that statment was back then. In high school this gurl told me if you have a lot of big flcky dandriff that my hair was grow. I know that sounds crazy now but then it made since. thanks for sharing
WHAT ABOUT LAMASIL CREAM OR PILLS, IF ITS A FUNGAL INFECTION IN YOUR SCALP, IT SEEMS TO ME THAT AN ANTI-FUNGAL CREAM-PILLS WOULD HELP?
