no idea, couldn't use my original choice (Porcupine Tree) due to enlightened approach to music use in videos!! If certain copyright owners were more with it you might have ended up buying the original track as a download. There we are, that's my gripe aired!
I know what you mean lol. Is there snow on this pass in April ? Cheers. Im cycling West Yorks to Gibraltar in April and was thinking of going via Tourmalet (Mad eh!) all in 2 weeks too.....
Tourmalet is normally closed till end of May, so take some snow chains! There are other routes, though the Tourmalet is somewhat iconic. If you don't make it in April, make sure you get out there in the summer. It's awesome
Took me about 25 minutes to do the 21km to Luz, held up by traffic at times though (that's my excuse). My son did it in just over 20 mins, but he's mad!! Top speed probably about 75kph
Amazing, did you use a helmetcam? - the vid lasts just over 9 mins how long did it take in real-time? - I didn't envy your ride back to the top where you parked the car!!!!
Realtime was just over 20 minutes, I used a helmetcam mounted on the handlebars, means I can turn my head occasionally! Fortunately we were staying at the bottom in Luz, but had just done the full ascent that morning - excellent climb. The descent is payback time!!
Ascent was long, took me just under 2 hours from Luz. Am doing it again in about 3 weeks as we are doing the Raid Pyrenean route west-east. Hope to do it in under 1.5 hours. All part of my preparation for the Etape in July. Good luck with your ride, sounds good
what's the music? i like

I just got back from cycling the length of the pyrenees from Biaritz yo Banyuls. On Thursday we road Tormalet and another 2 cols.
The cols were quiet although we had great weather for the whole 8 days we took to cross.
Some of the guys got speeds on the decent over 80 kilometer per hour! I only managed 70 myself. Amazing part of thr word. Allez!!

Soundtrack is Deadwing by Porcupine Tree for those who wanted to know. Excellent!

Sadly I have had to pull the Porcupine Tree soundtrack due to unenlightened copyright action. Ah well...

A pity,.. I never understand those people who stop others from in fact freely advertising their music.
But dont worry, this music is also wonderful:)
