@bibilica08 It's not like every other mmo. You have to click for every attack and you can dodge and use special abilities. That's the way it should be in my opinion. Not clicking a mouse or pressing a few buttons to recieve virtual satysfaction.

As this game is mostly skill based *cough*C9 will be better*cough* , it needs the NPC's to be harder then ATLEAST that.. It almost feels like taking down a standing mob, who does nothing, on that vid there atleast..

The boss battles are similar I have noticed, they usually have a few phases, but nothing to make use of this games gameplay mechanic.. Only when you try to solo a boss..
The combat in this game is a lot slower then other game titles with similar gameplay.. But no one can deny the graphics.. Seems to be a good game though.

@Helios89Zg Was watching a stream today, Amira's from terafans.com, she was running everything on the highest quality, no lag, using 9500 GT. So I'd say there prolly wasn't much of a difference. (Note the Stream was laggy, but thats because it was a stream.)

Unreal tournament had guns and melee weapons, but that didn't make it any less of a TPS or shooting in general. The only thing that constitutes this as an MMORPG is the ability to roam around and do quest. Take the dungeons and quest away and it would get labeled a shooter real quick.

@TheGodTier I think its more situational. 1v1 auto target is face roll easy. 1vs numerous people manual aim will benefit as you don't have to hassle to click the guy before he kills you. Auto aim you have to click through or toggle(can be dead gay sometimes). Also, though it's not on the exact same terms UT was a shooter but you could take swords out at anytime. This game is old and dead, but look at some Risk your life videos. I loved the game which is why i want to play TERA.

@PulsarSZ No doubt, D&D started the RPG movement, but, you have to consider that this is low level gameplay, if you look at the bosses, melee classes get hurt alot, sure ranged might not so much but they're ranged, they're not as near the mobs. The gameplay mechanics of Monster Hunter and Tera are similar they're both a type of action aiming style. The same way how a Greatsword user in MH aims their attacks so does a Slayer or Berserker in Tera, especially with the charge up attacks.

@Lethalanvas It does actually, tbh grinding is fun till you reach the part where you get like 1% per hour of grinding (From other games). Games like this are not grindy anymore unlike before so you'll probably enjoy this.
well, i think the skill uses magic, and the magic explosion recoil causes you a push back, that only happens when u uses magic charged attacks as side-effect. There is also a small chance to knock down the mob every shot.
@mikeyb19100 well when they get stunned they kinda get pushed back a lil bit ......but anyway that makes it more realistic ...and since she charges the skill cuz it's not clicked ...it's charged skill it's normal that she gets pushed back :D
Looks great. Hope by the time it hits release in US That the archers have a strafe skill. So they can back up while attacking enemies and such. That and a Health Regen skill. Like in "Shining Soul" series.

The fact that its korean /aka grindfest/ is one, but these game mechanics just doesnt look too good, i dont know how they will translate in PvP. @TheGodTier O my bad. I meant T(third)PS.. Srry this concept isn't new. It's old. You aim where you want to swing or shoot. Unreal tournament had guns and melee weapons, but that didn't make it any less of a TPS or shooting in general. The only thing that constitutes this as an MMORPG is the ability to roam around and do quest. Take the dungeons and quest away and it would get labeled a shooter real quick.

@TheGodTier I think its more situational. 1v1 auto target is face roll easy. 1vs numerous people manual aim will benefit as you don't have to hassle to click the guy before he kills you. Auto aim you have to click through or toggle(can be dead gay sometimes). Also, though it's not on the exact same terms UT was a shooter but you could take swords out at anytime. This game is old and dead, but look at some Risk your life videos. I loved the game which is why i want to play TERA.

@PulsarSZ No doubt, D&D started the RPG movement, but, you have to consider that this is low level gameplay, if you look at the bosses, melee classes get hurt alot, sure ranged might not so much but they're ranged, they're not as near the mobs. The gameplay mechanics of Monster Hunter and Tera are similar they're both a type of action aiming style. The same way how a Greatsword user in MH aims their attacks so does a Slayer or Berserker in Tera, especially with the charge up attacks.

well, i think the skill uses magic, and the magic explosion recoil causes you a push back, that only happens when u uses magic charged attacks as side-effect. There is also a small chance to knock down the mob every shot.

Looks great. Hope by the time it hits release in US That the archers have a strafe skill. So they can back up while attacking enemies and such. That and a Health Regen skill. Like in "Shining Soul" series.
