I was a Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota. That place was miserable! Most of my friends got kicked out of the AF while @ Dakota. The only thing to do there is get in trouble. I honestly don't know how I managed to pull through. I hope to never return to that wretched place.

Why Not Minot! HAHAHA!!! I was stationed @ Boring Loring and froze my nuts off! Thank God they had an emergency manning situation at Seymour/Jonson AFB that I qualified for. I never want to see 100 below again! I love AZ now bur I still miss SAC!

I can't relate much to what the LE/SP folks had to go through at their shops, but the part about the 27 cars with Florida plates in the ditch on 83 in the winter is spot on. A friend of mine bought a souped up old Bronco, and went four wheeling behind the airport in November. He got it stuck in the mud, and couldn't get it out. The plan was to get some buddies to tow it out next day, but a deep freeze came that night, and it was stuck in the mud-ice for 3 months before they got it out.
LOL. Only someone who has lived at Minot AFB could understand this and we were there from 1979-81. I wanted to shoot myself. Thank goodness my dad made Colonel and we were transferred!
@aardvarkcomm boo hoo i feel so bad for you. Ur dad made colonel, u must of had it so hard! LOL. try living in the dorms for years on an E-1 everyone tryna shit on you. Thank goodness there is something called AF reserves! and post 9-11 GI bill. !!!
Haha! So, considering these guys are cops and they are in Minot they representing the 5th SFS, right?! (Dad's old squadron) HAHA! 8 years in the (701)! Miss my elementary and middle school years there!
My dad used to be stationed here and he always said why not minot!
