@soulyrasheed in that time maybe was dragan stojkovic better than dejo and i think that prosinecki was equal with dejo, similiar players ,there weren`t better players than dejo in that time from ex yugoslavia!!!

I don't thinkt he modern players are as exciting -yet-, but they are getting there and they are now stronger, faster and fitter. Athleticism took over for awhile but the skillful players are adapting. :)

Where are players like this??? miss the times of Dejan, Laudrup, Valderrama, Cantona....all you find nowadays is a bunch of publicity products.

@2Funky4me Messi plays a lot like Savicevic. More like him than Maradona in fact and Totti has comparable passing with the great Dane Laudrup. There is no one like Valderama or Cantona or but you still have Súarez and Aguero who play a bit like Romário and look at Xavi, Pirlo, Iniesta and Modric, they're great to watch. I too miss the likes of Nedved, Rui Costa, Rivaldo, Laudrup, Djalminha, Piksi and Savicevic in their prime but we still have fantastic players and now they're athletes too.

You're absolutely right, but what i mean is that the old times of football used to be more "romantic"...as it happens in music, you still can find great stuff out there, but it has become a fashion show IMO. Cheers!

@Christoffski @2Funky4me i think recoba ball control looks a lot like savicevic, and id compare messi runs to damien duff runs, as 4 nowadays players, i think u should watch jorge valdivia from chile, he is unprofessional, bad behaviour n bad decision maker, but probably the most natural talented actual player.

I think that nobody could do that double-pass trick with opponents leg like him! Heck I haven't seen anyone do it completely successfully besides him.

Examples - 3:08, 3:01, 4:33, 5:38(unbelievable one :D) etc.
