Schenectady is not crime infested..Thing do happen,but they happen every where..Look at the National crime rate!!! Crime is is like half of what it is out in the western US. Schenectady and Saratoga are the only two Cities growing in Upstate NY. It is a nice place to live...It has only 17% African Americans (I am one). Not that the percentage matters but hankhhh12 is a straight racist.

I live in the better part of Schenectady like union where all the houses r near the high school I live in Schenectady it's awesome I go to central park middle school it's awesome all the kids r great the truth is people r just afraidof black people and poverty which makes up most of Schenectady and it is ghetto but there is as much crime as anywhere else and it's not the kids fault they were brought up wrong so guys cool it and stop insulting my home

I've written a lot in many comment boxes about my love for Schenectady. Im clarifying right now that I mean the City that USED to be & that probably never will be again. All my comments have been made from the fondest of memories of a wonderful city where you could sit on your porch or walk late at night without fear of this kind of indecent garbage happening. Im afraid this city is lost & it makes me so very sick. Its a shame. I feel sorry for the "Good" people who still live there. God Bless.
