I have been in one of those. The stupid a** guy I was with wouldn't let me drive and I even got out of the car and said I was walking. I said you are drunk and I ain't playing. He talked me back into the car. Big mistake. At least I saw it coming and crouched down on the floor. Stupid jerk. I hope he is sober by now. What a waste of a life. I was so relieved when I gave this guy his walking papers. I cannot stand drunks they get on my last nerve. Please!

not overly impressed with the performance of either vehicle in this crash...any idea what speeds were involved? serious deformity of the passenger cabin in both, especially the geo...airbag wont do much good if the cabin crushes you...hope all in the van recovered...if the geo driver was indeed impaired, i guess i dont really care if he made it or not

The Geo Prizm was a rebadged Toyota Corolla that was sold through Chevrolet Dealers with the Geo Franchise. If you look in the middle of the Geo emblem you will see a Chevrolet symbol. This is a compact car so of course its not going to hold up against a large mini-van. I hope whoever was driving or in this car is ok.

they have to investigate every aspect of the cars to see if equipment malfuntion may have played a part in the collision. All the info such as tire pressure, brake lights, turn signals ext. have to be documented and put into a report. Its just part of the investigation after a seriouse collision.

Now if the patrolman is pressing on the brake pedal, how can he see if both brake lights are working? I was doing nothing more than letting him know they both worked while he pressed on the pedal, while the car was still in place, not moving. Were did you get that the car was being moved?

for the investigation, every aspect of the vehicals have to be taken into account, everything from turn singals, break lights, tire pressure on all tires. Its all put into a report for the detectives to look over and see if any of that information may be pertinant to the cause or may have been a contributuing factor in the collision. All the info is put into a data base for future referance.
