@Goalieguy16 - Stamp Automotive Engineering in Warwick RI. He's a big Ford guy and really knows his stuff. I had already pulled the transmission. Other shops that I called around to to see if they would pull/rebuild wanted upwards of $1700+
@ahubbard117 Ahh gotcha, how hard was the removal / have you done one before? Sorry for all the questions, I've got a 93 bronco with e40d and 302 in it, and the clutches are starting to slip.. so I'm tryin to find the best way to tackle this.
@Goalieguy16 - No problem. When I pulled the transmission, it was actually still attached to the engine. The truck had been whacked hard in the nose, and the radiator support was crushed, so I cut the support out and lifted the motor and trans out as one package. I originally attempted taking them out in 2 pieces, but the bolts through the bellhousing were not easy to get at on top of the block. The bronco may be easier because it's not cab forward (if i recall)
@Goalieguy16 - Probably a good transmission jack and an extra set of eyes and you should be able to drop that transmission. But it is a heavy bugger so be very careful.
@mustangman821 I would say you probably could although I do not know for sure. From the research that I did, I believe that the E4OD is very very similar to the C6. If the bell housings are the same, I don't see an issue, but you may have computer issues depending on the year of your bronco.
for a second i thought he had justin bieber playing when he started the vid

How much did it cost to rebuild the tranny..
christianson27 2 years ago
$600 total. That included parts and labor.

Not yet. Soon though. The engine and transmission are all back in place, almost completely hooked up. Just have a few more things to do.

have you got the truck put back together and running yet?
