The original version gives a feeling of nervousness like, "Don't stand so close to me, people will suspect something" and that people are watching them.

This version gives me the idea that the teacher and the student are alone talking about how to keep their relationship secret.

The Police will always be my favorite band, but Sting sometimes makes these soft versions of what originally was edgy. I mean he can do whatever he wants, he's sting, but this one isn't that great.

What a wonderful performance he gave that evening in Tuscany, despite the tragic events of that day, which Sting was evidently feeling the pain of. If Sting did not want to be there, but home instead, holding close his wife and children, I would not have blamed the man one bit.
