  • Even the url is staring with awe.

  • I'm not usually one to comment, but this makes me remember what's important in life. Puts a lump in my throat and a gleam in my eye.

  • true heart.

  • Great music knows no boundaries.

    Peace from Romania.

  • Music doesn't have to be good to take off, or take off to be good. Case in point Kanye West and Joe Pug.

I like that I can go to an intimate concert to see my favorite artists. Rather than a giant concert hall packed with morons.

Joe Pug at High Noon Saloon in Madison. I will be there!

  • @kintar90 I was there last night! Great show. And I agree, it is awesome to see these kind of artists in intimate settings, yet it still a shame that most of them never get the recognition they deserve. I saw Justin Townes Earle open for the Decemberists in Madison as well a couple weeks ago at the Overture Center in Madison, and while it was still a great show, it would have been awesome to see him perform at a smaller venue such as the High Noon.

  • I wish my lips were that harmonica.

  • Joe Pug. back in St. Paul April 30.....get your tickets now, friends!!!!

  • @princessofhesse just got mine today! i am ready!

  • @woogiejones great! did you know also that Justin Townes Earle is going to be at the MN Zoo amphitheater in August? don't know if you like him, but i think he's great...anyway, i can 't wait to see Joe!

  • Joe Pug, Tallest Man on Earth, Mumford and Sons. i can listen to them and only them all day and be 100% ok with that

  • someone help me with the harmonica part

  • yep, this is a good one.....always......

  • reminds me of the young dylan....great!!!

  • be sure to do this song when we come to see you in london on Jan 31st - awesome!

  • be sure to do this song when we come to see you in london on Jan 31st - awesome!

  • It's difficult to sing songs like this without being compared to Dylan. And that's where the problem starts. Ultimately if people are saying you're like "x", that's a big issue, if you as an artist are reminding them as another artist then your missing an opportunity to reveal yourself.

  • great, great singer songwriter!!! coming to Minneapolis tonight and I will be there front and center, do not miss his show if you can catch him in your town, he's on a 10.00 tour and everyone should have a chance to see him.....the best!

  • DisLike

  • @jfaoyx really? wow? what kind of music do you like? I think Joe Pug is incredible....

  • @jfaoyx really? i can't imagine anyone not liking Joe Pug....wow..

  • posted this a few times before, getting ready to see Joe Pug, again, in Minneapolis this fall! yeah!!!

  • Anyone know the chords for this song?

  • yep, me again.....can't help but come back this way when life kicks me around...beautiful...seeing Joe in Nov. in Minneapolis again...

  • this boy is going to be my next SteveEarle, when Steve is gone, and i pray he sings til he's 99 years old, there are always young, incredible talents, like Joe, to take up the banner....just wish he would come back to Minneapolis!!

  • i know i've shared this before, just feeling a little down today and wanted to hear it again...love this boy....

  • This guy is Fantastic!...He is got the whole deal:-)

  • Justin and Joe on the same bill. You lucky people.

    Too far to swim.

  • oh, yeah, saw both of those boys Feb. 24 in St. Paul, beautiful show, too damn many people there though....

  • It's good to see great folk like this. Like Todd Reese and his incredible album "Not That Easy". It's cool when guys like Joe Pug catch a break but disappointing when others with such talent for songwriting get screwed over.

  • it's all in the timing and talent and a little push from God, i think, my friend...love Joe though...i've seen him twice now and going to see him and Justin Townes Earle in St. Paul in Feb....incredible young man!

  • This guy is amazing i saw him supporting steve earle lastnight in dublin best supporting act iv seen his first cd is free to download well worth checking out i bought his second aswell was lucky enough to get him to sign it lastnight really nice guy hope to hear a lot more from him.

  • saw Joe in Minneapolis in early November, incredible...a little club, about 50 horrible folding chairs and one incredible singer....got to talk to him afterwards, wonderful young man and i look for him to be huge one day!

  • incredible young man, have tickets to see him and Justin Earle in MInneapolis in Feb...beautiful sound...

  • I just saw him in in a dank little bar in Bellingham Washington. There were probably just 30 people in the bar, but you could hear a pin drop,. He was nothing short of phenomenal,

  • @funkmasterflex28 those are the best places to see any singer of such quality, i grew up in TX in the1970s and 1980s and saw the best at those little holes in the wall, first saw Steve Earle, my hero from a hundred years back, here in Minneapolis in 1986, loved him since...then, Joe Pug opened for Steve back in Texas in 2009 and that was all it took, love this boy.....

  • Well, if he could get in a time machine and go back to 1959, he might have something.

  • @susantyrellfan oh, he's got it now, shug.....

  • you are right, he is an incredible young man with such a gift....i saw steve earle again last night in minneapolis and joe wasn't his opening act and i was sorry about that!!! hope to see joe around soon!

  • cute guy. okay voice. nice guitar.

cool appeal. seems guys like dylan, springsteen paint 'american lore'-we could use some of that right now.

    especially right now.

  • joe opened for my hero steve earle on their stop in new braunsfels, tx in june....he has much more than an "okay voice." i predict in 5 years this incredible young singer is going to be all over the place, i am proud i got to see him at the starting line...

  • I just found him on youtube, and I agree. If Joe Pug does not take off, music these days is doomed.

  • @awanahtunowhiho you are right, my friend! i've seen him three times, again this comng October, here in Minneapolis....incredible, don't know if you have seen him yet or not, but do try!!!

  • @awanahtunowhiho he has a backing band and its not as good as him solo but its still pretty good

  • @princessofhesse Hey Girl....Thanks for saying that you were listening to Joe Pug today. I knew I had bettergo & check him out. Thanks for directing me, unknowingly, to someone I'm really going to enjoy listening to & watching grow into something bigger than I figure even he can imagine. Be blessed & Well, Your Friend :)

  • @Bdasef hey sweetie, wish you were here tonight, Joe's in Minneapolis and I will be there front and center, I never miss him when he's within the borders of Minnesota!

  • @chocolatezic incredible voice, incredible songwriter...

  • I saw him perform as the opening for Blues Traveler! He was so good even though his guitar strings kept breaking. Play on!

  • It's either in G# or D#.

  • Does anyone know what key his harmonica is in for this song?

The chords for the song are G C em D

    any guesses?

  • harmonica in the key of G.

  • can you post the tabs if you know?

  • I just know the chords, it's Em, D, G, he throws in a C/g somewhere... you can figure it out through the video. He's using a capo cause his guitar is tuned a half step down. the harmonica might be in C contrary to what I said before.

  • I met Joe in Harrisburg, PA--nice guy. I wrote to him about this song. I absolutely love it. Joe wrote back to me and sent me copies of his CD. Joe--if you read this--when are you coming back to central PA?

    Keep sharing your gift!!

    Rod

  • I heard him while driving thru chicago at 2 a.m. I wrote him, and the dude wrote back! awesome. He's great, hypnotizing.
