no,u r pathetic for thinking that a dub (which is an afterthought) could ever be superior to the original which the animation was painstakingly modelled for to begin with! boring lyrics? the fact is that it's the original & thus foreign dubs would struggle to retain similar lyrics in translation. the only few who would prefer dubs are the ones who came from those foreign countries themselves, which seriously most of us dont give a damn!until ur countries actually make the damn movie

As if it's impossible to come up better than the original lyrics lyrics. your lyrics aren't exactly innovative just a typical cliche love song. the original is designed 2 fit her character, and it's not generic but specific. "you want thingamabobs, I've got 20!" sounds silly but is PERFECT/essential for the character. howard ashman and alan menken are geniuses, enough said. creating a song isn't about using big words but bringing out the emotion and as in pretty much all cases the dub is only a soulless retread that attempts to stay close to the original.

CONTINUED: and also the problem with dubs is languages work differently thus they struggle not only to retain a similar meaning to the original but also w/constraints such as making sure it fits reasonably well with the amount of time the character is moving their lips (although the reality/matching movements of the lips are already largely sacrificed in a dub). your lyrics wouldn't even fit in the original song. also no matter how good a quality dub, there is always sth lost in translation.

Well i dont entirely agree. You probably havent heard any good dubbings cause some are just amazing. And it sounds like you dont realize how hard it is to keep it true to the original, keep it true to the language its dubbed into, sounds, syllables, etc, etc, etc.

Of course there can be better versions in someones opinion. If he/she thinks another version is better, its his/her opinion. I agree that some versions in other languages have better singings and sound better.

The LM was rereleased on i think dvd and vhs in 98 or 97 for a special edition version, and was brought to theaters shortly. But until now it was in the disney vault, so they did actually stop making the videos. I only hope they do decide to bring it not only out on dvd but back in the theaters as well, like they did 4 beauty and the beast. Thanks 4 the trailer, it was really great!
