  • oh cool, how do you actually attract King Parrots?, we get a male come every so often, but he doesn't stay long, any tips on getting him to come back every day or something, and being able to get really close?

  • cool, im like that myself. have a family of magpies that come for mince every arvo, they bring there baby often hes a bit more shy stays further back, i also get a pair of butcher birds that come, but my favs r the family of 4 kookaburras that come every arvo, 1 of them is really tame taught it to come over and hop on my hand he sits there for a while then hops back on his branch, love seeing them every arvo even tho they r wild they still feel like my little pets love them.

  • " looks like a slice of heaven "

you have ,proberbly got some idea what it was like . I live in a forest with very big gum trees .I spet 12 hours till 8am fighting and mopping up .This place looked Hell ,it was sooo sad .There was no green anymore ,just black ,smoldering tall twigs .I felt i could not live in this "HELL" ,but i had to stay because spot fires kept errupting 4 the next 5 weeks .Then it was like a miracle , almost all the trees and bush regenerated and in many ways better than b4

  • i sometimes wished i lived by the sea ,

    i love the sea .

I got hit by bushfire 2 years ago .I lost my home (everthing i got ) while saving my mums life and home .

Thats just the begining of the drama .

  • Pretty bird, pretty bird. Squack!

I do likewise, but that sure is a diverse ecosystem comparatively, a big slice of heaven.

  • @GnosticNinja

Thx , it is quite a diverse ecosystem ,but sometimes the bugs make it not so heavenly ,eg i am looking at a great big huntsman spider in my room right now :)
