Around 0:56, the emulator leaves some blurry marks near the bottom of the screen. Is it supposed to do that, or is it the camera?

It's a special power that Tanooki Suit has. Hold "Down" then press "B" to be transformed into invincible Statue for a few seconds. ;)

The same goes for these stages: 6-5, 6-6, 6-9 (1-up on top of the wall here), 7-1, and 7-4 (space behind the wall holds two 1-ups here). The flyovers won't work on the GBA version. Note that 7-5 and 7-7 have a ceiling at the start, so a flyover is impossible on those two stages.

nicely done with the elevators in 7-6; i just used a p-wing before entering the level and flew over the wall instead of taking the pipe. that way, you finish the level in less than 30 seconds.

Could you imagine if the empty fortress had enemies? You see all the candlesticks, Stretch Blocks, and Rotodisc bases? There probably would've been Boos and Thwomps, too. Getting to that last pipe would've been damn near impossible!

the candlesticks are those little flames that follow you in the castles, stretch blocks i think are those white blocks with the ghosts in them, rotodisc bases are those orb like things and the twomps are i believe the big stone things with the mad faces that try to squash you.

i like the silent mini fortress in this world also. one time i got 99 lives in there. i just kept hitting that brick with the p switch then i would collect coins then do it all over again until time ran out. that one level with all the black chompers that you couldnt kill was challenging too.

There are lots of tricks to be able to get 99 lives... In this game, I got lots of hidden lives, 5x1UP when getting 5 stars, getting 100 coins for 1 life. It goes up really fast this way! ;)

how do you always take the star at the end of the level???? there's some techique behind that?

Yeah, there is some technique. There are two ways I found to always get them. first, you have to be running at the top speed, and you do as I do, jump to hit the pannel from the left. You must not slow down. Second way, sometimes, you don't have enough space to get the top speed. So, you have to walk also without stopping and again, always hit the pannel from the left. With little practice, it should become easy for you to do so. ;)

All you have to do is run so that your p meter gets full and then run to touch the panel at a 45 degree angle. In world 1-4 and 7-1, you must WALK, but it will still work.

how do you change the direction of the blocks?

The block with an arrow sign on it (before you jump on it) won't change direction. However, the block with a sign of a switch on it (before you get on it) can change direction when you jump and jump again on it. Don't hesitate if you have any other questions for me! :)
