Since Japanese does not have letters like english, it cannot be misspelled. When put into english form so it can be read, it's acceptable to just spell how it sounds.

Now, you, having it in your name, know as well as anyone that the way to spell kawaii is KAWAII and not KAWAI. Though it's a japanese word, and it is written in Japaese, everyone spells it "Kawaii". Which is the CORRECT way to spell it. Just look in a Japanese to English dictionary. You'll get it. I KNOW you have no grounds to say anything like you have previously stated.

I do have grounds. I'm learning Japanese from Rosetta Stone. And kawaii is NOT pronounced ka-why. It's ka-wai-ee. So it is pronounced how it's spelled. In Japanese, the letter I is never pronounced as in 'stick' or 'gripe.' Only ever as in 'police.' You'll understand after you learn more Japanese than you can get from english subbed anime.

Several, if not all, of the words are sung differently then how they are spelled here, so the person would be singing it wrong unless they knew how to sing it. Also, like Captain had said, "the english lyrics are mostly incorrect." So I would deem this a mostly, if not all, unreliable source.
