  • where is the t-dub -_-. I will search a little further but i agree about wr250 that can be a great bike

  • Hey guys don't take this as yamahas obly dual sport- I've noticed noone compares a wr250r against other competitors dual sport bike- look it up- wr250r smokes all the smaller engine enduros

  • I am thinking about buying this bike. I was wondering. How well does it do in speed wise? the reason i ask is if I wanted to commute there is some highways and I;'m wondering if it can handler 65-70mph. and will it blow the motor by doing that the whole ride at that speed. any info would be great. i use to own a cbr 600 but I dont care about speed. just fun , saving money etc but need to get to point A to point B with this cc

  • @poet79ful This bike will do 65 pretty well, but not uphill. 70 is easy downhill. It's not fun on the highway at all.

Plus I wouldn't buy any bike to "save money", $4K will fuel your car or cbr 600 for a years.

I got it to play on dirt roads, trails thru the woods, crossing logs and streams, twisty back roads, etc. On the forums people say they do 100 mile rides wide open throttle, have 20K miles and their bike runs great. You can't harm these motors.

  • @scrapperito I know people say why buy this bike to save money , but righ tnow I am spending $200 a month on gas and that just going to work and school thats only about 30 miles from my house. My jeep is terrible in gas. does this bike rev high at 65 and can it do this speed at long periods of time? I like the price,$4,400, the size because i'm 5'3 and its dual purpose which is perfect because i live in Phoenix. but if I were to commute on it to work and school, i would need that speed. thanks

  • @poet79ful Go up a tooth or two on the front sprocket, or down one or two in the rear...Going up in the front would be much more drastic change from the dirt for increasing highway speed, and lowering those rpms for your highway cruising speed. Good luck. Keep in mind if you plan on getting busy off road, you'll want to find a happy medium.

  • vejam miinhaaa crf /watch?v=ThUw0o8GK14&feature=player_embedded

  • Lol that bitch almost wrecks

  • The hand guards and rear rack are pricey extras on the honda, not stock.

  • the woman is sexy

  • personally i prefer just like a mx bike style but a trail bike. for example i ride a crf150f which is a trail bike but not like a dual perpose or enduro even.

  • useless reveiw they didnt even tell you witch one they liked better

    she so dumped it

im 14 and i can ride better on my hoda 100

  • @3kickyoass what is a hoda?

  • useless reveiw they didnt even tell you witch one they liked better

  • its got a nice computer on it...lol

  • "The whole review surprised everybody cause we were pleasantly surprised with it..." what the fuck is she talking about???? Damn...

  • my dad has a xt250, i love riding it, lots of fun, wheelies like a mf'er, very comfy to ride, a little too much hop for beginners but great off and on road, ive put many miles on it, btw it runs 82 factory dowhill with a tailwind ;)

  • what the heck happened at 2:14?!?!? was that a dead end or something? lol

  • useful info, quite helpful!!

  • Is that really a computer system or just a speedo with an idiot light...

  • @jeffmoto72 it's digital instrumentation.

  • took em up hill and over rocks!!!!

  • I have been likin' that Honda for a while. It sure is expensive, though...

  • I am in the market for a bike like these. I do mostly offroad stuff, but I'm gonna want it for street riding later. I'm 13, 5' 2", and 140 pounds. I should be hitting my growth spurt soon, so that should make a difference. Which is better in speed and comfort out of these two?

  • @BlargeMan Well, they said the Yamaha was more comfortable on the road, but it has a 5 speed which is not so good for the freeway. Now about the freeway, these are tall & light bikes so it would get hairy near the Mack trucks! And they really couldn't keep up well with the 65-70 mph traffic like a car, so I'd rather ride them around town unless you have a relaxed highway.

  • @BlargeMan The Yamaha has a better engine. It's only a 5 speed but the ratios are spaced just right. You won't be missing the 6th gear. It revs a lot more freely than the Honda. The Yamaha's suspension is also softer. The Honda gets slightly better fuel mileage and it turns a bit sharper.

  • @BlargeMan from personnal experience take your time...when i was about your age i was lookin at bikes and decided to get the crf230f because i was short at the time and couldnt even touch the ground on a crf250..about 6 months later i was 6'2" and the crf230 is way too small for me. also the 230 comes from the factory with the same power of a xr50...but with about 50 bucks in buyin a new jet and needle for the carb it really showed what potential the bike has!

  • watch idiot chick lose it at 2:16 !lmfao

  • @MrPotterb33 ha ha funny clam down dude stop the ego shit i am pretty sure she can kick your ass in a moto.

  • the motorcycles are very uglys

  • if you wont a street bike buy a street bike, ill take the Honda over the Yamaha, just because is a trail not trying to be a street bike, but with the option of riding on the street,

  • Can someone help me? Which should I get? I am 16, 5'8" and 120 lbs. I want to use this as my main transportation like to go to school, and drive off-road with my friends dirt bikes?

    (PLEASE RESPOND)

  • @geedunk13 the yamaha i hav the same bike but its from 1983 and its faster thts the sad thng but mu buddy has the newr one and he loves it

  • @geedunk13 buy the honda it has the 6 speed trans so thats better for off rd, and its prob, cost less to,

  • @geedunk13 Get what you can afford. Maybe you should think about something used. I think you are looking at a good size bike for you.

  • @geedunk13 well i hav the xt250 and its great on road and u'd be able to fit on it easily, but off road, especially in sand or loose dirt, this bike can be hard to ride because the wheels which go on and off road r too thin for sand riding and also this is a heavy dirtbike (note: i have not tried this yet but you could also change the tires and that could make a big differece but it would be a pain to change them everytime you switch from road to dirt). i dont no much about the honda tho...

  • @andym1508 any thing from a 200 to 400cc will be good my brother has a yamaha DT175 two stroke and it would be good for that sort of use

  • Oh ya she went down!!!!!!!!!!!

  • would you not do the CRF230 and TT-R230

    god americans are dumb....

  • @NicRayAndo stfu you elitist foriegn prick.

stupid people universal, where they are from doesn't matter, you xenophobic twat.

  • @NicRayAndo How brilliant, LOL!

The CRF and TT-R aren't dual sports, they're dirt bikes.

This was a "small bore dual sport" review.

    God Australians are dumb........

  • @sirhcskoorb - what bike would you suggest for a dual sports? I will ride mostly around town but I want to go off-road during the weekends. I am 5,3in high and 108lbs. I need a short bike and light. Thanks Patricia

  • You are correct, she did DUMP the bike there at the mentioned frame - LOL on an advertisement too!

  • these fucks not now anything the honda

that is a 6 speed that means higher gears that would suck ass for OFF ROAD

the yamaha is a 5 speed is geared for off raod you want new tecnolagy on a nice bike u dumb ass when it comes to blinkers and the cluster go yamaha

  • Women can't ride bikes!

  • @alexsuchapimp my wife is a bad ass rider lol just sayin lol

  • I believe she dumped the bike between 2:15 and 2:16. watch closely... lol!

  • @Buckmeister82 I heard her scream!

  • @Buckmeister82 yes youre right i saw that too! LMFAO!

  • @Buckmeister82 yep that was a dump

  • @Buckmeister82

    Yep!

  • @Buckmeister82 Yep, you can hear her scream, lol. Get back in the kitchen!

  • Has anyone else noticed that the girl dumped the bike... HA! sorry, but I had to laugh!! I dumped the bike myself a few times too... carefully watch 2:15 just before 2:16. the video cuts away but you can tell!

  • I need to get a bigger dual sport bike, I have a tw200 right now. I like it but the suspension bottoms a lot when I'm in the woods, on some super rough trails around here, their was a stone quarry about 70 years ago. I don't have any vids yet but did do some in the snow with a bald tire. anyway I would like the xt250 but the honda sounds good. I wonder wich one is lighter?

  • i have a 2008 CRF230L. excellent bike although it doesnt do highway speed that well. i agree, it is more of a dirtbike.

  • how would it do in dunes

  • i wanna get an 08 crf230. anyone know where i can find a used cheap one

  • the honda is awsome though

  • My 2009 crf 230L is super fun. I ride it all the time.

  • i have a 1980 xt250 its a tank

  • I have an 09 crf 230L, i want to sell it, or trade it in, although im not a 2 stroke fan, so does anyone have any idea?? plzz help

  • DRZ 400S

  • @QuarterSticks why do you want to sell it any reason?

  • it doesnt seem like the bike for me, i'd like something a bit more beefier, and a different seat style too, like a race bike style, nothing wrong with my bike.

  • i traded my 06 crf 230 for an 03 KTM 125 sx, very good deal.

  • haha.... girl busts her ass at 2:15.. she cant ride

  • lol, wipe out !! KITCHEN !!

  • the old xt's are better, i have one, thumpers live on lol

  • i like my 230f but i lov my Ktm 400 exc

  • wat a lugage rack hahahahaah

  • Wmen cant ride Dirt Bikes. NO upper body strength.

  • my 230f is a racer i love it

  • i wonder if the crf 230L is so much different from the 230F

  • i dont think so.. maybe but it all looks the same just made street legal..

  • I have a 230f and the frames are a little diffrent and the power is a bit better with the 230f

  • why do all the brands make such fuckin ugly dualsports???

  • none of that shit they went on was" narly" stuff

  • He said "pretty gnarly". This phrasing indicates that he believes the trails did not achieve the status of truly gnarly. I agree with the narrator, it was pretty gnarly. Also, gnarly is a subjective description. You may never agree with my definition of what does or does not constitute gnarly.

  • They could've made the honda look a little better, the light should be the same color as the body.

  • I own a XT250 and the only problem i have is the tires need more traction for the way i drive.

  • get new tires

  • They should realy compair the yAMAHA WR250R AND THE kAW KLM 250 S

  • LOL at 2:15 the girl rider wipes out at top of the hill gues they shuld have my sis ride the bikes she might not like how slow they are tho sence she races motocross with me

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • can i just have the box?

  • The Serow (XT 225, now 250) is one of the best trail bikes ever! The classic version (225) has a 6 speed btw. I prefer Honda, but I'd take the Serow for a dual purpose trail bike.

  • u have no balls dick splash

  • that commentator bitch can suck my fucking left ball bag

  • it comes in a box?

  • lol its an expression- they do get shipped to the dealers in boxes sometimes

  • These guys always have useless reviews ...

  • @thecosmichippo and yet they own most videos related to the topic

  • I own an xt 250.

I use it to commute to work and back, I get about 80mpg and get to go in the carpool lane.

I occasionally go off road as well, it's no motocross champ, but it's fine for trail riding.

  • i disegree with this vidieo i bout a xt 250 yamaha and it is very good off raod and the sispintion is good to i jumped it and it was a prety high jump to and it didnt bottom out or eny thing. and a realy good trail bike too.

  • ok i bought the 08 230l little bit ago and kinda regret it but more i ride it grows on me. i bought the 230l for another bike to ride back and forth to work and keep the miles off my r6 for the short distances. i think the 230l is a wezzer out off the box and needs to be opened up a little (pipe, smog removal ect) and it will help some. its probly the best bang for the buck and trail capable. if i didnt have a care for price i would buy the kawi. also different tires might be a must

  • i took out the smog pump with the block off kit, but think it could use different jetting. have you changed yours at all?

  • 4 stokes . c o m to learn how to mod the exhaust and air box to get some real power on that yamaha

  • those people that were rideing didnt no how to ride for shit

  • hey girl, can you test ride my

  • i have the 2009 klx 250. after seeing this video, im glad i went with kawasaki. those two bikes seem to be a bit short on power. the klx 250 is a fine street bike, and excellent on dirt.

  • LOL! Rider down at 2:15! One CRF for sale.... slight crash damage and some pine needles in air cleaner!

  • does anyone know if they make a slip on exhaust for the 08 yamaha xt 250 yet?

  • these bikes are for inexperienced ppl like women...

  • if you are not wrecking... you are not riding. props to the cupcake.

  • Leave the criticism for those who aren't illiterate, moron.

  • The 230L doesn't come with the rear carrier or the hand guards.

  • Right on, mine didn't come with either of those. They are options. Although I do not doubt that Honda offered up a 'fully loaded' loaner to them for the review ride.

  • Watch 2:14 LoL!

  • Haha I noticed that as well, NiSToKy. I thought she was gonna lose it there, but then they cut the video.

  • She did lose it. Before the cut she bail on the right side and the bike slid to the left down the incline. Whoops. New rash.

  • I have the 08 230l and it didn't come stock with hand guards or a rack. Are those supposed to come standard????

  • I've had my 230L for 6 months now, its a great bike, 2K miles on it and no probs...75mpg too! My buddy has the kawi, overheats all the time, but his is a little quicker, but same top speed.

  • Does he have the new KLX 250?

  • What top speed did you guys reach on these bikes?

  • i own the 08 yamaha xt 250 it will beat the honda in a drag and i got mine up to 84mph but i weigh 190lbs, its great on and off road perfect for beginners

  • ive hit 90mph on mine and it still wasnt hitting the rev limiter.

  • i want to get a 230L for my first street legal bike, i love dirtbikes so thats y i want that

  • On a side note, i wouldnt mind at all my girlfriend keeping her own bike so we can go off riding together and play :D

  • Trying to find 250 cc street-legal bikes is almost impossible. Honda Rebel, Suzy GZ250, and Yamaha Vstar250 are limited production bikes. Why? Profit margin is lower so the manufacturers want to sell more expensive bikes. I don't think any of these small dual purpose bikes are available either, probably for the same reason. If one of these companies would produce a 250-350 cc street or dual-purpose bike with a more standard 1970's retro look, they would make a mint for cost, weight, fuel economy

  • Interesting... Rider Magazine featured these two bikes plus the Kawasaki KLR250 this month. They found the Honda tranny to be ratios to be "awkward", also "uneven carburetion" and "vibration". They felt the Yamaha had more power and was easier to ride. Still they felt the KLR was better than either of these two bikes.

Did you feel the Honda transmission ratios were "awkward"? Too low in 1st gear, to hight in 2nd?

  • i just took my crf 230f out today and i think i rode it to hard...the motor dont seem rite

  • I'd take the honda any day for dirt riding. I have to agree with motousa on this one. The yamaha will be a better highway bike, and still off road pretty well, but I think the honda has better off road gearing and the center of gravity is lower. I sat on both at a dealer and the Honda really felt better to me. It felt like it would be easier to throw it around on a tight trail. There's sosuki, kawasucky, yamahaha, and then there's Honda! LOL JK. I just thought of that; thought it'd be funny :)

  • Aw I used to have a 230 (now a kx250f)... if the 230 has the same suspension as the 230F's, then I would strongly suggest avoiding it. It was horrible, and was about as useful as some sponges underneath the seat.

  • I bought an x250 about a week ago and between my brother, my dad and I the bike has nearly 100 miles on it now

When they say that the xt250 is more of a road bike, it's really not that true, the seat is a dirtbike seat, and it feels much more at home on a trail. It's the easiest bike to ride i've ever had, you don't have to even think about riding it, you just put it in gear and it'll go.

It has plenty of power when you need it, and is a great all around bike.

  • the honda is a lotta fun

  • you rgay fagit

  • haha she fell

  • the honda is probly just as or if not more reliable.

  • Yamaha is the best1!

  • What is a price comparison between the two??

  • the honda is a lil cheaper

  • 2:14 THE BROAD WIPES OUT !!

  • hehehe-i wish my girl will have that kind of interest in motorcycles.....

  • the 230 looks a little small and low for my taste. they also sound liek they don't have a lot of power.

  • they have alot, they're quiet for road laws, but it doesn't really affect their power production

  • Do they have the same sort of power that dirt bikes of their capacity have? They looked pretty slow to me :S

  • Whats the difference in price?

  • i like the honda better

  • I have the XT250 and I enjoy everything about it. It's a real quiet bike, I get about 75 mpg, and passengers like the ride also.

  • i would buy this if i was u becuz u dnt have to pay that much to fill it up to got to work and back.its really great to use.i kno suumone that has it

  • XT250Report com, is an awesome place to go if you want to ask questions about the 2008 and newer XT250.

  • I recently bought the XR650L. I'ts a great bike though a bit "beef-ier" than the Hondas shown here.

  • I bought the Yamaha XT250 about 2 months ago mainly for driving to work and back and I really like it. I am getting about 73MPG just driving in the city.

  • and it less gas to waste than using cars

  • can those wheelie

  • any bike can wheelie

  • Lol i can wheelie with a yamaha 50 cc so i bet thoose bikes can

  • haha girl skremed at 2:15

  • what lags

  • Holy shit, babes on bikes! Thats sooo HOT. Is a shame the video qualty is bad. Nice bikes btw.

  • the honda is nice but i prefer kawasaki

  • What is it about kawasaki that you like better? Im am trying to decide between the cfr230, kawi klx250, or the xt250. Maybe even the dr-z400s. Any advice? Im about 5'10 145.

  • you will get a different opinion from everyone about a type of bike, i prefer kawasaki cause 1 they look nice, 2 they are tough, and 3 its a good brand name, most people go for honda cuase you see them the most but you will see more hondas being walked off the track or trail while the kawasakis are being driven off the trail or track, im about 5'8 and weigh 125 and i have a 2007 kawasaki kx250f and its easy to handle, most kawis are easy to get use to and are beginner friendly, go kawi bro

  • Thanks KawiDirtRider. Im going w/ kawi 4 sure.

  • np, im glad you made the choice lol, once you get it msg me of what you think

  • CRF230L seat height is easy for your height; it's at about 31". KLX250 is very nice....but seat height is pret near 35" I think which is going to be a little harder to flat foot.

  • i like honda

  • 230 isn't legal in NV, must be atleast 250cc

  • Shotgun 3rd comment

  • not for me at all

  • 1st view and comment.....i really like the honda
