I believe the first (most important ) part of the book is available via google books.

I must admit, didn't know much about Dream Theater until "Systematic Chaos" (the song, "Forsaken" woke me up out of a dead drunken stupor, stook me up, & was my first proper introduction. It haunted me for days until I found the song & bought the album) but I have to say every since buying that album I've been a big fan. I just love them! This song - though many have said there's more to it- is wonderful, I'm gonna have to buy this album, too. DT is an EPIC band & I'm a fan for life!!!

this is the way i interpreted the song: they are simply explaining the topic of freemasonry, Dream Theater has almost always retained a neutral stabce when it comes to controversial topics e.g. "The Great Debate", "Sacrificed Sons" etc. besides at the begining you can see a town destroyed, presumably DURING the NWO, and that doesn't look very praising does it.

It's then followed up by talk of "rose and cross" (rosicrucianism) and ascension.
