@Teewan100 Yes, they are two different things. My mistake. Guided Rockets upgrade is for the helicopter and is a buff to the heat seeking rockets. Now don't be a douchebag by insulting people on my channel.
@TargaMike My apologies Mike I was wrong in my post. Those guided rockets that you were asking about for the helicopter are a buff. They provide you with greater range and accuracy for your main rockets. Sorry about that.
@MasterChief2627 to go fast, take off and get a bit of height. Then put your nose down, press down the brakes and then speed up again. The higher the fall, the faster you'll gain speed.
I want to be an extremely great helicopter pilot. I'm good at flying, any tips on how to fly fast for the PS3? And how come in scout helicopters i can't shoot? How am i supposed to unlock heat seekers etc? Thank you so much
If you play on xbox and need a good pilot, Add CoDroStyle. Im pro. this guy inspired me to make a montage so if you want to be gunner and be apart of that then add me =]
Pilot gunner set up. Piolet maintenance, extinguisher, heat seeker, gunner, IR flares, stealth guided rocket. = pretty much indestructible if your pilot can manuvour.
I play BF3 on PS3... I recently unlocked Pilot guided rockets... so in my pilot grid I replaced STEALTH with GUIDED ROCKET... on the battlefield, I could not figure out how to switch or used these rockets... can you give me a run down on how to use this unlock... thanks
@TargaMike You know, I gave those things a try for the jets and I felt they were completely useless. Why? Because as you're guiding them, you're also steering your jet which is imo, a very difficult thing to do.
@TargaMike There are 2 sets of unlocks for attack helicoper. pilot and gunner. Guided rockets are for the gunner. you cant use them as pilot. press Y or triangle to switch to secondary weapons in all vehicles assuming you have unlocked them =]
@TargaMike first of all, the guided rocket isn't a weapon, it's an upgrade for you standard weapons(the Free Fire Rockets) that you already have from the beginning, they become semi-guided, which will cause them too slightly "bend" their way towards enemy vehichles, so they're somewhat heatseeking... what X3NOCHRONY says is wrong, those are the FFAR rocket pods for the jet, which aren't guided.
to notice the effectiveness of the guided rocket, use them on vehichles from a long range
i swear there is about 2 people that can fly choppers or are aware of how to use them properly! so many time people either crash instantly, or ignore enemy choppers planes and the ground. FUCK ME ITS SO ANNOYING especially as the pilot position is the least points productive position in the game, get hardly anything for a match compared to all the gadgets you get for gunner. i can pilot really well, but people in gunner spots are fucking useless as well if they aren't your mates
@jonobonnowonno1 If you play on xbox buddy you need to come for a flight with me. i usually get more kills then the gunner and the only time i get shot down is when the enemy have AA tanks, but if the gunner is good we can usualy take it out =]
Not a bad tutorial but you could add more technical strategies which help gameplay. I wish I could do one but I don't have a capture card. Manoeuvres, shooting tips and how to dominate your airspace are always helpful. Basic stuff is just common sense.
Should've added the tip about shooting one guided rocket first to let the enemy use flares (if they have them) then shooting the second rocket after they used it up. Really helpful for me =P
@Carlit0Tit0 That's usefull, however, I've noticed that the heat seekers tend to be a little glitchy when you fire one rocket alone. It occasionally won't let you fire the second. The solution is getting that laser designator. This combined with your gunner using a guided rocket and your heat seekers is almost godly. Hope that helps too.
hey man, do you think the attack helis need a buff? i can fly and have few upgrades but its almost impossible to take out any vehicals without getting hit by a stinger
@fearofthedark88 Not really because they'll be over powered if they stayed up in the air too long. Try being an engineer yourself to repair your helicopter as soon as it's been tagged by a stinger missile. Landing will take plenty of practice.
@X3N0CHR0NY Yea. The helos don't need a buff. They were OP'd in Bad Company 1.
Want to know how OP'd? On Xbox 360, with one of my old buddies, he flew and I used the guns. Now, him and I were an epic team. We played Oasis one day on attacking.
At the end of the game, guess how many kills we had? 1,480. Not points. KILLS. I'm not fucking kidding. Best I've done in any video game. 2nd place comes around 800. Never did that well ever again on any game ever since... but it shows how OP helos were.
@fearofthedark88 A tactic my platoon uses is that both I and my gunner will have IR flares and at very least, one of us is using steath. The stealth gives us more time in between using the flares so that we can generally keep stingers at bay untill we can start a cycle of popping flares. Communication is key and keeping your aircraft alive is more important than getting a couple of extra points from that 'one last kill'.
@mineeyesfan having 2 flares is usless. i dont know if you have noticed but if you pop flares you can pop another set till they recharge, even if you have 2 sets. just try it. you will see i am correct =] try maintenance and extinguisher for pilot. and IR flares for gunner =]
@qaziwahid Try dropping in or dive bombing onto your enemy while unloading a full clip of rockets or the machine gun. Youll eventually get enough points to level your aircraft. Just keep plugging away at it. Be sure to subscribe for more tips and tricks.
