I'd love to see this guy working with Tony Levin & Bill Bruford... Mr. Clements on classic bass and Tony on stick... that would be some seriously excellent shite. Or replacing Trey Gunn in a King Crimson double-trio arrangement. Makes my ears tremble just thinking about it.
@spatemdim They are not even in the same league as Bill IMHO. They are playing for the sake of it. He and the drummer are laying down a heavy bottom and they are just shitting over the top.
Wow such a killer show. Normally the bass compliments the guitars in a band. In this case its the other way around and i love it. Bill Clements is easily one of the best bass players out there. He is an inspiration to me to keep on playing.
Substitute those guitarists for Tyler Ward and 331erock and get Cobus on drums. May as well put Christina Grimmie on keys in there aswell.

NO way can this guy be compared to anyone...he's so original.
It's true what he says that his old love for slap is STILL in his one handed style of playing...very percussive.
