nice job but why is every one just adding LEDs to the guitar can you guys do more to it? watch my video of my homemade guitar hero and you will know what im talking about. i like where you put the switch very smart

i did a similar thing but i had the ps2 version of gh3 so dif guitar but i put the leds where the string would usually wind on to the head. forget what its called

There are a few screws on the back, they have a weird shape, but you can use hex driver. I forgot the size, but just keep trying until they fit.

you had to put the lights under the frets

I didn't want to mess with the circuit board underneath the buttons so I used the empty space below the buttons

hey dude if you wanted to really make it nice

put switched under each button

so when you press the button

the lights go on for that button

instead of always being on

ie: all lights off, press green button, green lights go on.

it would be wicked

at first I thought of making the leds turn on with each corresponding button, but I would have had to run it in series with the buttons and I thought it would be too much trouble. I was think of buying another one and doing that, maybe a 3rd party controller. It would all run off the two 1.5v batteries though.

The leds are wired on a different circuit. They run off a 9 volt battery that i left inside the body.
