I was not try to be hard the other day.I donot know stuff.I had not yet espearanced and saw the shoulder colors differnt so just asked a easy question.Learning.I really am not being a creep to you.You,re horse is a lot like mine.But mine is 26 yr old not young.She might have Cushings diease.

@7466309change O, that's perfectly okay. I appreciate your concern. But nah, she still has a lot of scars from beating herself up with the colic. A lot of older horses do get the Cushings. Great! Made me chuckle. I took Chap up onto our roofed front porch one day on a dare and went back and forth--I thought aaah this is too easy and opened the house's front door...Chap put a foot up and ducked his head and I chickened out RFLOL! I was picturing getting his big butt inside and not being able to get him out...thanx for the chuckle and bringing up a great memory : ) You've got a great and willing horse! @7466309change She has several scars left from her sickness. When a horse colics, it will thrash around wildly with pain. If you go back and look at my video "The Sassy Seal My Horse Beats Death," you will see how banged up she was after her colic. Merry Christmas to you too. ; )

@6horsecrazygurl9 Yeah, since her colic, she has been on six flakes of timothy/orchard a day and six pounds of senior grain/oats mix a day as well. We are also boarding at a new, very low-stress barn. She is filling out better than ever.

@6horsecrazygurl9 Yeah, thoroughbreds have a really high metabolism, for the most part, and Sassy is a really big girl too. She eats nearly double what a lot of horses do, and she still runs lean. ; )

Hey Doug..I almost get jealous watching you ride.I went for a ride yesterday on my Newfie pony..it was -4 [Celsius].brrrrrrrr.My 2 boys got their big shaggy winter coats on.They look like overgrown shetllands.You have to be a hardy lot to brave a Newfoundland winter.Both horse and Human.. Sassy is looking good.A testament to the care she receives!
