Yes your right, in cases of infantile Tay Sachs the child may live to to be 4 or 5 , in juvenile cases the patient may live up to approx 16 years, and in adult Tay Sachs the patient may live a full life, as they are capable of producing small amounts of hex--A , the enzyme needed to synthesize the ganglioside lipids, although they will have developmental problems and will be wheelchair bound.

yeahh i thought that too because I have re-search on this disease because of my Biolgy project and the life expectancy I have found it has been from 4 to 5 years old.
