Thanks for posting this. Have just realised that I must have seen Luke in JCS live in 1973 when I went to see it. I wish I had realised who he was at the time. I love this man's voice and personality!

Thanks for posting this one! I really wanted to see Luke in Superstar. Funny thing about the interviewer mentioning him portraying Herod as being gay, it says on wikipedia that Herod was often played like that in medieval plays. Is that Luke's wife at the end?

I must admit, Luke's use of the word queer jarred on me to. Yes it was a different age - I was around then in the early seventies - and things were beginning to change, but, it does not sound good today does it?

This clip is from a documentray about Luke, which my friend sent me a few years ago (my friend is sadly dead now too). It's a fabulous documentary, about an hour long. Luke looks a bit uncomfortable doing this, if you ask me.
