ohh reading notes makes u dumb all the way,.if u keep practcng a habit with that u couldnt make use of ur hearing.,but i would prefer using hearing than reading notes,. by the way im also a piano/kybord player...

No,no,no!!

You should be good with both sight-reading and play-by-ear. I am trained in both and I have perfect-pitch. All my vocal songs except Imagine are transcribed, so I am capable of doing that, too. You see me reading because I don't spend time practicing modern music AT ALL, I just sight-read them. My practice time is for RCM pieces only.

Not being able to sight-read (I mean play smoothly as you read a new piece) is definitely a handicap, like-wise with play-by-ear.

ther's a MIDI version of that tune running around the web for some time now, that sounds EXACTLY like this

It is! I stripped all the acoustic tracks off the midi file because it will be played by me. The percussion tracks were left and played thru the disk. You can do this with any midi file. The same were done with "Lemon Tree", "Eternal Flame" and "SWAK". Good ears, my friend!

perhaps consider a more woodwind sound for the main theme. Evoke the lonely whistling ghost wind as it carves through the barren desert..portray both the isolation and the conection between the good, and the bad, and the ugly... Nicework, young man. You will go far...

Thanks for your comment. We did considered using only the appropriate voices for the style of the piece. In the end, it came down to my own personal preference of the sounds that I like, rather than the sounds that it should be. But you are absoletely correct in your comment.
