Also, I've never seen this DOS version, but honestly the Atari 800 version had better sound and graphics. This one is still quite nice though.

Yep the first game I played on PC. Such memories! Crappy gfx, but that doesn't really matter since the gfx on those old systems where so lousy anyways. This deserves to be released on Xbox 360 arcade with fresher gfx. Doesn't it?

@greatgnomex Try counting only the actual code, executables, dlls, etc.. discount the graphics which is the bulk of todays games. But yes, graphics is mostly what todays games is about, eye candy + what seems to sell or have worked in the past to sell.. (mostly first person shooters)

I loved this game when I was a kid. I was so proud to figure out the cheat code for 9 lives.. ctrl-9. It still runs perfectly on my 3gig box in xp. Brilliant piece of coding.

@taomangajin Haha you don't need to do that. Download the game and a thing called DOSBox. Put a folder named DOSGames in your C: drive, then put the folder of the game there, run DOSBox and write: mount c C:\DOSGames\ and it'll say: Bah blah mounted, then wirte C: (or wherever you mounted your folder) and then DIR, then CD DOSGames, then DIR again and you will see the name of the game folder, you write CD (name of the folder) and then DIR again, then ALLEYCAT.exe and it will run the game. :D
