Stop crying about the action scenes ! Dont you remember the missions from Contracts? If you killed in the first Hong Kong mission the target and the guards saw you , than a helicopter came up and started to shoot at you and you must run away. It also was action! And the first and last mission, where you should run away from the S.W.A.T team. You could also choose , do it in silent way or like a killer or psychopath ! And the same here! Its the first mission and we dont know how it goes next !

Which is what the pretense of fucking hitman games are. You don't try cause ruckus and blow your cover. I agree there are few missions where you are literally forced into a gun fight but other than that, as the series progressed it became more in favor of stealth play.

I agree, I believe they should re-release the first four to today's standard in graphics and game play. I'd love to have the first Three on the 360, and throw in the added bonus of BM. Absolution looks amazing, but I have a biased opinion because I am a HITMAN fanatic, to the point where I have the barcode and number tattoo'd on the back of my head. I say give Absolution the chance when it comes out. Don't judge it if you don't have it in your hands.
And, personally, I don't find it 'fun' when I get spotted by an enemy because I didn't watch him move the same way for five minutes. What's more realistic, watch an enemy and memorise his patrol route he does OVER AND OVER again,or this, where enemies move more randomly and you're given the chance to adapt to it?
I bet this game is going to be so super fucking hard, and that's why you have instinct. Instinct added (doesn't have to be used) no map, intense AI (but still stupid in ways, like power goes out, herp derp, I'll check the box, not thinking it's a trap) and still stays non-linear and sandboxy. I loved the blood money. Killing some your targets without shooting and not being seeing is so damn awesome, I feel like I accomplished so much after each missions. Unlike those FPS where you mindlessly click on your mouse.

Looks great, but it sure doesn't play like a Hitman game so far. I might be wrong but this is getting more and more like Splinter Cell Conviction. It focuses more on the action than on the stealth itself. Wich is what the Hitman franchise is known for.
@mattaddison19 Do some more research on the subject you can make it make it harder there will be a mode called purist mode which will be realsitic so you can't even see how much health you have and you can turn off instincts, I'm sure it will actually be a pretty fun game without instincs but it's just for people who are new to the franchise like you said.
@Arygo87 I have done some more research on it and you can turn off instincts but don't you think leaving a building on a serious opperation if you are a policeman is odd and also people didn't recognise agent 47 so it should be pretty similar to the other games but with more choice.
Instinct meeter ? draining ? ... disguises are measured by acting abilities , suspicion should raise if you run , act weird , not just by standing still or trying to leave the building ... IO interactive , please , take a look at indigo prophecy (Fahrenheit) , you might learn a thing or two , really hope you have the freedom from the previous games , and the instinct thing can be disabled , cheers!

Blood Money was the first hitman to TRULY get AI right. Hitman Absolution will now have better AI than in Blood Money and very possibly much better gameplay. And now it's nothing special? Im a graphics whore and double agent on the 360 was the first game to blow me away this gen,i had fun with the game too. I expected so much more from conviction. The first conviction they were going to make looked realy good,then they scrapped the whole game and started all over again. Lets hope Jade Raymond gets the new splinter cell rite too.

Hitman was unique that it wasn't a stealth game where you had to sneak but you had to act as calm and collected as possible, when you got a disguise you had to blend in with the guards and work your way up to the top, then assassinate the target by various means, not sneak around them like it is here.

This game looks great, I dont really approve of the instincts extra, but if you are lost then I can see how it could help. I just prefer doing it all myself with no help. I also love the graphics, I would like to see a lot more options to choose from in this game, which I highly think they will have. Anywho, if you have a special edition, Im buying it, I LOVE hitman. :) Beat Blood money 100%

@tnargtnarud Before blood money it was a tedious journey through levels where even the slightest action could cause the entire level to just boil down to "fuck everything" because you didn't tie your fucking shoe laces correctly and the AI went fucking berserk. Blood Money was the first hitman to TRULY get AI right. Hitman Absolution will now have better AI than in Blood Money and very possibly much better gameplay. And now it's nothing special? Get the fuck out of here you retard.

@DetectiveSketch they said the instinct mode is just like using the map when u were playin all the other Hitman games u would pause to use the map to see if enimies were in the area right well "Insinct mode is JUST like that execp u dont gotta pause and they said u got the option to turn off ALL help and just play raw so hope that helped.

Im a massive Hitman fan but this game looks like it could be real bad. Looks far to much like Splintercell Conviction and that game was shite!
I also loved how previous Hitman games were like James Bond films taking you to many diffrent countries,it spiced the game up giving you lots of cool diffrent enviroments. This ones all set in Chicago. =(
They should of stuck on the same line as Blood Money,lots of diffrent locations,big sandbox levels,improved the A.I and graphics,more choice.

@athleticguyUK Double Agent was THE worst Splinter Cell game. The series peaked at Chaos Theory as a stealth game. Conviction is a good game if you treat it as a shooter, but it doesn't feel very stealthy.

@jakelhybrid I played the 1st splinter cell,chaos theory aannnnd both versions of double agent on the 360 an ps2. Im a graphics whore and double agent on the 360 was the first game to blow me away this gen,i had fun with the game too. I expected so much more from conviction. The first conviction they were going to make looked realy good,then they scrapped the whole game and started all over again. Lets hope Jade Raymond gets the new splinter cell rite too.

Hitman was unique that it wasn't a stealth game where you had to sneak but you had to act as calm and collected as possible, when you got a disguise you had to blend in with the guards and work your way up to the top, then assassinate the target by various means, not sneak around them like it is here.

Dude when you play hitman games you find different paths but you always end up taking a particular one that you would like. Then you slowly tweak it in small ways. In a sense you have always play in a linear route except in a sand box fashion. Okay? So hold the arguments till the game comes out.

Personally, I share the reservations of the majority here, it kind of defeats the point of meticulous planning central to the franchise if you can just have a quick peek.
On the other hand, it looks like Instinct might be a resource you can spend. In which case, it could pan out as a crutch for the newbies but nothing more, which is fine by me.

This game looks great, I dont really approve of the instincts extra, but if you are lost then I can see how it could help. I just prefer doing it all myself with no help. I also love the graphics, I would like to see a lot more options to choose from in this game, which I highly think they will have. Anywho, if you have a special edition, Im buying it, I LOVE hitman. :) Beat Blood money 100%

I can't really imagine a game without her. She was with you since you broke out.. if they did a filler, now that would've been better. Showing how you got recruited into the Agency. ^_^
