  • Females, both minor and adult, access porn on the internet too, not only boys.

    This woman is prejudiced.

  • Research does not support that claim. this is the problem with these stupid bitches who just hate anything that males do.

  • @smoothbrother69 wow, with such a well thought out and reasoned argument I'm sure Gail Dines is comptelely going to change her point of view.

  • @helpforpornaddicts that is not an argument but a fact. Dumb bitches like this do not understand the difference between fact and fiction.

  • @smoothbrother69 fact is, by calling her a 'dumb bitch' you are proving her point that porn can contribute to a male attitude toward women which is denegrating and sexist. if you don't agree, attack the point not the person.. If it was a guy in a wheelchair would you say 'dumb cripple?' If you watch porn and still have a respectful attitude toward women, you should show that in your comment. If you KNOW she's wrong, then prove it. What FACTS do you have to back up your point?

  • @helpforpornaddicts I have plenty of respect for women like Condi Rice, Oprah, Ellen Salif, and plenty of other women. But i do not respect her and her crusade to stop porn. U judge people by their character and actions not sex. This is why I hate feminism which basically says all men are bad and all women are good. So when I call her an ignorant cunt you believe it is some symptom of hatred towards women when in reality it is hatred toward this dumb bitch.

  • @smoothbrother69 Unfortunately porn can affect SOME men's character and actions, so they no longer treat their partner with respect and even become violent. i had a porn addicted partner - it was the worst experiences of my life. I am not so much anti-porn as pro healthy loving relationships If porn stops that, then it IS a prob. The number of female addicts is growing, so it's not anti - male. I am V pro male, but now young guys have ED. Which is Y I began Campaign For Real Men Not Porn Eunuchs

  • @helpforpornaddicts The problem is that if a man does not have the ability to distinguish between what is real and what is fake then the problem is deeper than porn. From what i am hearing from ur story it is more likely that porn was used as an excuse for that person to treat you bad or it is just the typical behavior of a person who has an addiction and is trying to recover. The problems of a person are deeper than just the skin flick that they put on tv.

  • @smoothbrother69 unfortunately no, his symtoms were all classic of porn addiction, and he has been like this with all his g/fs. If you go to my site, dontrewardbadbehaviour com and take the Paramour or Porn Perv quiiz - which will give you a laugh if nothing else, you will see what the symptoms are.

  • @helpforpornaddicts Like u said it has to do with his addiction. Some people can not handle certain stimuli in their life like porn, gambling, tv, and computers. This problem is something that the individual has to deal with and is not a valid reason to demonize something that does not have a negative effect on the average consumer.

  • @smoothbrother69 I think there is too much heated debate on both sides. Both pro and anti are all about getting their point across, which means the educational factor gets lost. I think ALL porn is bad for some people (who are vulnerable to becoming addicted) and SOME porn is bad for all people (heavy duty hard core that messes with your head). As a porn producer put it, 'its not about censorship, it about commonsensorship. Banning it isn't the answer, but controling access & content is needed

  • @helpforpornaddicts No this is not the case. The Nixon administration tried to put together a scientific study that support your viewpoint and it failed. So what they did was find people who like you were talking about had a bad experience with porn use them to justify that porn is evil. Secondly hardcore porn does not mess with your head unless you have some vulnerability. U have it backwards art does not effect action, action effects art.

  • @helpforpornaddicts violent degrading porn has no real lasting consequences for normal healthy people. As a matter of fact some people enjoy violent degrading sex. I think that a lot of people concern about this is the fact that most look at these things and say ill yucky and want to band it. Think about 2 girls 1 cup video was not something that porn created but something that a section of the public demanded. human sexuality is more complicated than the loving relationship we are use to. .

  • @smoothbrother69 read The End of the Porn Debate on Your Brain on Porn site - it is scientifically based, not anti-porn. Well over 50% of divorces now cite excessive porn use as a factor in the divorce. And it does cause damage to healthy brains. Just because there is a demand for degrading porn, does not make it right to make it. There is a demand for child porn - is it right to produce that?

  • @helpforpornaddicts where are u getting these facts from? the article u sent me to was not a scientific study it was an opinion article raising the question about the possibility of harm in porn. The article is not talking about a study they did or going into depth about any other studies. Secondly the divorce number is not their because as u should know money is the main factor for divorce so that number is way to high.

  • @helpforpornaddicts child porn and degrading porn are two different things. you think that degrading sex is not a normal expression of human sexuality but it is. People who are into that are not dangerous or some kind of risk to society so trying to stop this normal expression of human sexuality is wrong.

  • @smoothbrother69 what so you think someone drinking their own enaema is a normal expression of sexuality? Or being choked until you black out - yeah well so did Tabac before he murdered the girl next door re-enacting what he had just seen, and watched again after. So you think child porn is not right - meaning u think there is cause for some control. The divorce stats come from Divorce Wizards. U taken the porn quiz yet,.. or are you scared of what you'll find, Mr Denial?

  • @smoothbrother69 Black people campaigned for years to stop being portrayed on screen as only pimps, ho's and druggies, because a constant reinforcement of a negative image causes the viewer to associate that role with the person/race/gender. Your subconscious does not know the difference between what is real and what is fantasy. What you see therefore tells you that 'it is normai' coz it is continually reinforced. "ho's' will do wot they have to, to earn a living, doesn't mean they enjoy it,

  • @helpforpornaddicts the perception that people have of women is not the same as ethnic perceptions. Women and men are both apart of the same culture living together while racial groups are in different competing cultures. People lives are affected by their immediate environment not the fantasy world of television. yes people choking, urination, and S & M. Are all apart of normal human expression. I have nothing wrong with defining sexual normality...

  • @smoothbrother69 this is the most innacurate thing I have ever heard! Women are subjigated over the world, forced to have their clitoris cut off and their vagina sown up. They have no rights to legal recourse, to divorce or to even work. In the west, women's pay is still on the whole 20% lower than a male/ And words like Whore, Bitch and Cunt are as offensive as Nigger, Coon and Wog. People needed to be educated to undertand the harm racism caused, - sexism causes the same harm.

  • @helpforpornaddicts It is no longer legal to have signs that say 'no blacks or irish allowed (i have an irish background btw) but there are still establishments that say no women allowed. It took empathy from white people to understand the effects of racism and help to change things, even though they werent' directly affected. it will take empathy from men (of every race) to understand the effects sexism has, even though it doesn't directly affect them.

  • @helpforpornaddicts but you need to be honest about why certain things are harmful and others are not. Child porn is consider out side of our cultural boundries because of the harmful effects on a child not the adult. This is different when it comes to things like S&M, homosexuality, golden and brown showers, and other extreme sexual behaviors. Consenting adults have the right to participate and enjoy these activities.

  • @smoothbrother69 the child becomes the adult and that harmed adult may go on to hurt another child. It is physically, as well as emotionally harmful to a child to have sex b4 they are old enough to do it. Let me see where we are on the same page: No performer shoud be coerced, forced or threatened (physically emotionally financially, told she will never work again) into doing a scene. Woiuld you agree?

  • @helpforpornaddicts physically and emotionally yes but told she will never work again is okay.If a girl wants to make some money for a scene she has to do things she may not want to do. That is why it is work. There are plenty of things I have to do on my job that I hate but I want money I have to do it. It is the same in the sex industry if a girl is offered money to do a bj and she doesn't then the company has the right to fire her. just like if a server who wont clean the

  • @smoothbrother69 we're not talking about not wanting to do BJs, were talking about someone turning up to do a scene with one guy and have to do 25.I do agree with you that it is still their choice, but, performers should be informed about what they are hired to do, then there wont be any need for having to bully them into doing the scene.

  • @helpforpornaddicts That is a labor issue and not a reason to stop porn. Even if she or he goes into a situation like that they can still refuse nobody has to be a porn star. If the scene they go to looks like it is to much then maybe porn is not a career they should choose. besides the women have the real power in the porn industry so no girl has to worry about doing scene she does not want to do.

  • @smoothbrother69 Its not about them doing a scene they do or do not want to; it is about consumer demand. In pornography, the woman herself is the product. The consumer wants women to be verbally degraded; the vast majority of porn films have verbal abuse in them. To say it is the woman's choice is worse than blaming a fast food worker for being abused in their line of work.

  • @helpforpornaddicts Yeah, its their job and they want to make sure their superiors keep them employed. Consumer demand is quite shocking these days.

  • @smoothbrother69 HAHAHAHAHA do you have to have male genitalia shoved up your ass during your shift? You are aware of the prevalence of physical and mental debasement in industry these days? It is not the same. I have worked in shit jobs but it has never been as degrading as being made into a product for consumers.

  • @helpforpornaddicts the bathroom could be fired for not performing the job. First of all women live in cultural system that have been chosen by the particular group of people in that society. These societies are made up of both men and women. In order to evaluate gender roles you need to take a holistic look at the culture. No Bitch and Cunt are not the same as racial slurs. xenophobia is fundamental aspect of human nature sexism is not. Sexism is a cultural creation.

  • @smoothbrother69 You say women choose to be subjigated? When someone is attacked with a slur, racist or sexist, they are insulted, regardless or whether it is xenophobic or sexist, it is an insult. Black women have to contend with both sexism and racism.

  • @helpforpornaddicts Women are not subjugated by men they are bond to their cultural reality just like the men in their society. Women who lived in these societies have choose the life for their daughters for whatever reason. To view it as a male imposed system is simply false all culture are a result of choices that both men and women have decided in the past. while ethnic minorities do not usually have choice in how others view them for they are a separate cultural entity.

  • @smoothbrother69 To support porn is to support prostitution and the objectification of human bodies. I believe in natural selection; women who want loyalty should not breed with men who use porn.

  • gonzo isnt what ever she said. gonzo is filmed point of weiv of the male actor. thats what it is.

  • but it is disguisting though

  • lol she's just mad cause she's not into kinky sex.

  • Gail Dines is ignorant and a liar. I can't believe anyone takes her seriously.

  • @TheLaughingOut Or is it just that you are uncomfortable with being challenged?

  • @topologyrob No, I love being challenged. That's the best way for me to learn. In fact, that's why I'm on youtube. I began by coming up with ideas that I wasn't sure about and then making an argument for them. I'd put up the videos and then debate with people in my comment section.

However, it's been shown time and time again that Gail Dines lies as well as knowing very little about what she discusses.

I'm not saying I'm an expert, just that neither is she.

  • PORN IS FOR LOSERS...

  • @WorshipSatan666s Here is my challenge to you then troll bait. Do your own research about statistical amounts of venereal disease in the porn industry. The last HIV outbreak this past year saw 34 actors and actresses diagnosed and countless others being forced to test for HIV for the rest of their lives because of one actress who was infected. By the way I was being kind when I say 1 in 10. The numbers are probably much higher as HIV can lay dormant for years before being found.

  • @vindicato15

Ahhh. ma'am...that is simply NOT TRUE. Not even of the last THREE porn HIV "outbreaks".

As far as the latest "outbreak" last year, only ONE person (the original "Patient Zero", Derrick Burts, was ultimately found to be infected with HIV. The others were tested and retested, per standard protocol, and found to be totally clean, even after follow-up testing.

  • @vindicato15 And...as far as the "outbreak" in 2009, only ONE person (the original "Patient Zeta") was found to have been infected with HIV. Everyone else who was tested was cleared with a clean bill of health.

And no, HIV can't stand THAT dormant for it not to be detected by modern testing methods. PCR-DNA testing (the kind that was done in the porn industry, has a very successful rate of HIV detection, even if the symptons of full-blown AIDS can remain dormant. There is a difference.

  • @AnthonyJKenn You believe that testing will prevent infection by HIV? Further not all production companies demand a HIV test before production begins. They will stick with the monthly screenings. The last out break in 2009 wasn't just one performer there where sixteen performers with the disease. Seriously I hate trolls.

  • @vindicato15 Ahhh....no, I don't think that testing will *prevent* performers from totally contracting HIV and other STI's'...but that is not the point of testing. The point is to isolate those who may be infected with HIV or other STI's from infecting others in the line of work.

    Anthony

  • @vindicato16

And you are simply WRONG about your "16 performers were infected with HIV following the 2009 outbreak" stat. It is true that 16 performers were TESTED because of the protocols inovlving testing "primary" and "secondary" partners of Patient Zeta...but all the results found that only the original "Patient Zeta" was HIV+, everyone else tested clean.

    Anthony

  • @vindicato16

Also...the monthly screening requirement for HIV testing is the MINIMUM standard. The majority of porn performers insist on even stronger and more stringent standards for themselves before signing to do any shoots. Some even require active TWO DAY clean tests before they do shoots with other performers; others simply require condom usage, and still others limit shooting to their siginificant others or trusted people.

It's not trolling if you can back it up.

    Anthony

  • @vindicato15 Google this article and educate yourself: Los Angeles Times, June 17, 2009:

L.A. County Backtracks on Reports of Porn HIV Cases

  • @MichaelWhiteacre Educate yourself there have been four out breaks of HIV in the porn industry since 2009. I mean honestly you have a serious problem. It's called porn addiction and you need psychological help.

  • @vindicato15 In that case, provide SOURCES for your claim that there have been four HIV outbreaks since 2009. Saying it does not make it so. Name the dates and/or the performers. Provide links to media accounts. Otherwise, you're just talking out your arse. And for the record, I rarely watch porn.

  • @MichaelWhiteacre You allegedly done research on this subject. If you had it would be easily found with a simple google search on the subject. There are literally 100's of news out lets that had articles on these out breaks from the AP, ABC news, NBC news, CNN, BBC news and literally hundreds of other such sites. Even Perez Hilton did some pieces on these out breaks. Further more I find you either ignorant or a out right liar. Don't bother replying to me I have no time for sock puppets.

  • @vindicato15 FOUR outbreaks of HIV in porn??? Really?? Not even the AIDS Healthcare Foundation makes that whack claim. Show me the sources, madame.

And keep in mind that we are talking about the hetero porn industry here, NOT the seperate gay porn segment, who does not do testing and relies on condom usage as their means of protection rather than the testing regime. Don't mix apples with bowling balls.

    Anthony

  • Because apathy in youth sucks. Well it sucks in any age group, but it's really sad to see it in really young people. You watched the first few minutes of this and then what....I don't think you watched much more then that.

  • @WorshipSatan666s What is it that you're not understanding? What are you suggesting. She made it up? My comment is sufficient above. She was at some point informed of some definition, and clearly there are more than one, I've heard a few myself all from industry sources. What the fuck is everyone so obsessed with this for? What does that have to do with ANYTHING? Does this somehow prove she doesn't know what she's talking about? Remove the word from what she says then. I can't care, it's lame.

  • @boobootoob Uhhh, yes, Booboo, that's exactly what we are saying: Gail either pulled that definition out of the same orfice she pulls every other cracked stat she lobs at her critics....or she just invented it. "Gonzo" means exactly what it means: a "style* of filmaking that puts the viewer as though he/she is a part of the action. Nothing more, nothing less. And nothing at all to do with "body punishing" sex, either.

If you can't even define correctly what you are decrying, your case is sunk.

  • @AnthonyJKenn Yes, Gonzo simply means that the people on screen demonstrate a consciousness of the presence of the camera. Period.

  • Why is she only referring to males? I'm a girl, I'm 15, and I watch porn... weekly, sometimes daily. I think it's hot.. and this 'cruel, violent, body-punishing' porn turns me on. I'm not going to lie.

  • @deatXbyXchocolate335 Wow, that's a fucking sad statement.

  • @Zaimren

Why is it sad? Let's be honest.

  • gonzo-that is filmed as if the watcher had experienced the sex-acts themselves. In gonzo porn the person receiving sexual gratification holds the camera him- or herself and aims it down at the actress or actor who is pleasuring him or herself. This is in contrast to having a separate camera crew filming the action. The effect is to give the viewer the sense that they are experiencing the sexual acts they are watching, as opposed to simply watching others as a voyeur.

  • Gail Dines really makes my blood boil. First off, she doesn't understand the meaning of the term gonzo. It's a documentary style, and not in any way a description of content, let alone "body punishing sex" she keeps harping on about.

Why does she care what consenting adults get up to? Is she jealous because she's extremely unattractive herself? Or she isn't getting enough?

Most porn is free and probably the vast majority is produced by couples. She's an insult to the intelligence and to women.

  • @ScottishAtheist Typical atheist! No morals whatsoever!

  • @ScottishAtheist You are truly ignorant of what happens in the porn industry. Gail Dines is very accurate on the porn industry. One thing she hasn't touched on the rampant venereal diseases prevalent in the porn industry. 1 in 10 actors in porn have hiv, and almost all porn actors have contracted clemedia and or herpes. Further porn teaches people it's ok not to use condoms. Which ultimately can lead to venereal diseases. You are truly a ignorant individual.

  • @vindicato15 [citation needed]

  • @vindicato15 Three problems with that:

    1) People have been using condoms long before porn became accessible, and continue to do so with or without its help;

    2) The majority of people who don't use condoms happen to be not only NOT HIV+, but also disease-free in general;

    3) Condoms are so widely available (and even free in many areas) and are pushed as a safer sex prophylactic everywhere.

Oh...and there is plenty of condomized porn freely available, too.

    Nice try, Ministress.

    Anthony

  • @ScottishAtheist no its not that, you are just angry because she is starting to make you feel guilty and regret what you have done to yourself. I have seen alot of this Porn that she talks about and she is 100% CORRECT! I have become desensitised, I do see normal sex as BORING! it has Killed my love life and I have mysoginistic views now... Porn is a massive influence and I was about 14 when I starting seeing it... You can deny the facts all you wont but you will still be affected by it.

  • @SWIFTzTrigger well said! would like you to come to my site. I'd like to talk to you ;-)

  • @helpforpornaddicts what about O.o?

  • @SWIFTzTrigger huh?

  • @helpforpornaddicts read your original comment that was below my comment... *face palm*

  • @helpforpornaddicts i am writing a book to help partners of porn addicts come to terms with what has happened to their partner and their relationship. Your experience could help others. I'm also doing podcast interviews with people. If you were up to one of them.... dark room - disguise - paper bag on your head (!) whatever would make you comforatable. If not, just like to talk to your for (anon) comments for the book

  • @SWIFTzTrigger about being a porn addict, you can check out my site at dontrewardbadbehaviour com

  • @ScottishAtheist Right. You're not dumber than gail when you say "is she jealous because he's extremely unattractive herself?" etcThat's a great argument. Good show. I mean if Gail is so dumb then surely you have a better argument, or even a REAL one. "Probably the vast majority is produced by couples" NO this is not correct.Gail said that her research is the MOST mainstream porn. She explained her method here. Also she was given a def of gonzo by the industry, but there are different definitions
