Tony Bennett You are a BIG part of make this a "GOOD LIFE" for so many like me. You seem to bring some sanity to this world that today's ,(ARTISTS?) with their nonsensical lyric, filled with hate and violence. I love to hear someone sing about LOVE and hope and the redemption of each as you do int this song. Thanks Tony Bennett for the GOOD LIFE and so many other songs that are inspiring and very pleasant and very enjoyable to listen too.
There's a couple of guys that were from the same rat pack era...Tony Bennett, Bobby Darin, Nat King Cole...all great singers...all featured in mafia movies LOL
In to his eighties and still performing, Tony Bennett is a legend. Sinatra was a great singer but for me Tony Bennett has a quality to his voice that no one else can match. A true great!!
This song was played at my granddads funeral which sparked inspiration in me and my brother to compose. My brother is in London studying on a music course for professional guitar and I'm still at school. My grandfather always wanted me to succeed in life and the last conversation I shared with him was when I got an award for trying hard and achieving good grades in english. I adored my grandfather so here's to the good life ;)
I have come to appreciate Tony Bennett as I have gotten older. I never liked him as a child, FAR preferring Crosby and Sinatra. I have to say though, this is a good version! Not as good as Sinatra, but a good second place.
Good GOD, this is super spectacular and thank you, mom and dad, for having me grow up in house with incredibly great music, of which TONY BENNETT played a pivotal role. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH TB!!!!
Superior to Frank Sinatra in EVERY single song they both have versions of - just so much more feeling! Tony Bennett deserves a lot more credit than he got.
No one can sing this song with the emphasis and meaning that Tony puts into it; listen to the words, it has a moral teaching in it! St. Thomas has written about the good life that all men seek; Tony lives it and is able to sing about it too, what God given grace and good fortune! Bless you Tony!
I woke up to Tony Bennett singing It's The Good Life this morning on Radio Two at 7.29 am. It made my day as I only have that prog. on to get me out of bed to switch off that Chris Evans. I Listened to Radio Two for the next two hours.

What happend to all our "Musicians" and the real Great Singers? Music that could make the coldest heart warm up with a smile. Thanx Tony Bennett (The Original American Idol)... A4G-Out
@bugsbunnybuddy The good life. For me it was between six months and eleven years. It took place in the "Deep South", the only place "deeper" was the hintherlands of Mississippi. I was love and cherished, instructed and chastised. I had plenty of food to eat and "rags" to wear and I didn't know that I was poor. I thought that my my grandfather was my poppa and his wife was my darling Momma. I had to kiss the good life 'bye. I grew up.
What is it about Mr. Bennett ? The older I get, the better and more sincere and more meaningful his vocals matter to me. Maybe I needed some mileage on my own emotions until I could appreciate the artistry and the feeling that it seems he always conveyed in his performances.
i remember 2 ladies very sexy too working in a garage at stamford hill i used to get the shopping for them and one lady ask if i would get [the good life ] of course i did and have loved the song ever since and warmly think of them two sexy ladies at that garage now a m f i store happy days
