  • hi,can you send me the exact recipe and the procedures, thanks.

  • Wow! This is the right recipe that I was looking for. I am going to make this next time. =) Thank you.

  • You can substitute. 1cup all purpose flour and 1 tablespoon wheat gluten.

You will need a higher protein flour base. Add the wheat gluten will do it.

The second time I made this recipe I let it sit over night on a baking sheet covered by a wet towel. When I woke up in the am I threw them in the oven they were much fluffier.

Yeast will not rise if your room temp is cold and no humidity in the air. Make sure if you add the yeast to the warm milk it should be 75-80* f. I say warm the

  • Oopss... Flour not flower... ;)

  • If u can't find bread flour, use half portion regular flower and half portion self rising flour and I added 1 tsp. baking powder... It will turn out so soft... try it :)

  • Looks yummy, but not easy to get bread flour here in Australia, can i use self raising flour instead?

  • WOW!!!ENSYM..,PAN DE M

  • @chain13bahmz 5 cups to start. one more cup after most of it has been mixed. we said " one more cup..."

  • You said 5 cups of bread flour then in here @2:23 add another cup of bread flour? ;)

  • looks delicious.. can i use all purpose flour instead of bread flour?

    thanks

  • @carlosminnie1 yes, but you will have to add more things to the all purpose flour, so save yourself the effort and get the bread flour. bread flour has added ingredients compared to all purpose flour.

  • You should have proofed the dough in a clean, well oiled bowl. When you proof the cut pieces, they need to be covered also.

  • @MrZekeeboy maybe you didn't let it rise long enough.

  • @fashnaroundtheworld all purpose doesnt have certain ingredients that bread flower has.

  • why would it be different with all purpose flour

  • @fashnaroundtheworld all purpose flour doesn't have certain ingredients which will make the bread batter quality. Basically you'll have to add more things to the all purpose flour, so just get the bread flour to save your self time.

  • This is not authentic! Milk and Butter are hardly accessible in the Philippines.

  • wow so hard to make them and it takes a lot of time. :(

  • What if I'm gonna use the fast rising yeast not the regular active dry ones? how much do i need to put? So should I omit the 1c of warm milk plus sugar from the yeast preparation because I can actually put the rapid rising yeast directly to the dry ingredients? Thanks a lot! your recipe looks so delicious. can't wait to try it! Thanks! :)

  • do you have to grease the pan?

  • hello po. Im very very happy at nagawa ko un recipe mo. Though maybe kulang pa sa dusting and kneading at medyo malambot un dough before i baked them. They tasted sooo good.. Type na ng mga friends and siblings ko to buy from me, but i dont know how to price them. How do we do that po ba?? hehe.. AND, may i know if you have other recipes. I want your style of teaching kasi. Very detailed...More power po. I was able to share to those who are interested your recipes.

  • salted bread yummm

  • I wasn't able to find bread crumbs, and dont have bread to make my own crumbs, however since i have stock of crush graham crackers, (for baking cheesecakes), i used them instead.. haha.. comes in very handy!! The bread crumbs in the supermarket are those meant for deep frying...

  • Thank you, ( i dont know your name) for posting . I thank the Lord i found your posting. I've been yearning to make pan de sal for weeks. However the recipe i first use last week wasn't okay. The dough wasn't like yours, so the pandesal wasn't successful. I did good tonight, though i forgot to mix the dough with my hands. And later on did. I think i used more than a cup for the kneading til it isn't sticky anymore. God bless you for sharing!

  • Made this today... It was perfect! Can't thank you enough for sharing your recipe and skill!!! :D

  • thanks for the recipe, nice video, ....

  • @Yarri19 i dont think that is a good idea. but if you really want to try it...then try it out.

  • Hey, I've made one and its like a solid rock, I used Bread Flour. Maybe I should use all purpose flour, what do you think?

  • @17darkbeat sounds like you either forgot the yeast or you didnt let the dough rise twice or long enough. bread flour is important

  • @wyldeslash2003 Maybe I need to try again, but by the way thanks.

there is no need for baking power or oil?

  • @sambcea use bread flour. sugar is to taste. use warm milk not cold.

  • I need to try and make it. I love Pandesal and never made it. Could you send me the recipe.

  • thnx po sa vedio i make it very good !!

  • i wanna try this recipe , i hope it will turn out right , b'cos i have different brand of yeast .

  • Hello Bishoy55: Your demonstration is awesome. Thanks! I do have a Question - What if I use BLEACHED Flour and SALTED butter stick instead? (Only because, I already have it in my kitchen) and finally, can I add at least a teaspoon of BAKING POWDER? How would it affect my pandesal taste and its texture? Thanks for your prompt reply :))

  • awesome video!! salamat!!

  • I am making these right now, hope it turns out good :)

  • I love pandesals !

  • It seems that you did not bring the milk's temperature to 100 or 110 degrees. Are you using a cold milk to grow the yeast?

  • @BisoyChef55 no. we said "warm milk."

  • Love this cake, could you possibly SEND ME BECAUSE I WANT TO DO THE SAME HERE IN BRAZIL. THANK YOU

  • What is the purpose of rolling the dough into a tupe prior to cutting into pieces? Or is the "secret step" for Pan De Sal wonderfulness?

  • @robione0550 It helps give it a more uniformed, traditional shape, which you typically see in most bakeries. It helps them all bake evenly when they're the same size.

  • @wyldeslash2003 Thanks! I can barely make toast but I am going to try this hoping to surprise my asawa...

  • @wyldeslash2003 - This came out very good and I am not a cook! They have the same flavor that I remember but a little "heavier." The only tricky part for me was when kneading time came and my hands got super sticky and I have no assistant to add the flour. Next time I may follow your rest times more as it was nearly midnight when I finnished and felt rushed. (I still had a sample or two!) Being a little heavier than what I had from a bakery in San Diego - any suggestions?

  • we tried to make it, then it turned out reaaally salty. ><

we used Gluten Free White Bread Flour and we didn't use self-raising flour.

we added the same amount of salt as you did but they really went wrong. my friend wanted to throw them out. hahaha.

Can you tell me what we did wrong?

  • @shanelacuesta hhmm.. are you sure your sugar wasn't actually salt? if your sugar is good, then did you use 1.5 teaspoon of salt (not tablespoons)?

  • I made this lastnight but it turn out hard :( I think because I used a plain flour instead of bread flour. What guys do you think what wrong I made?

  • @sweetmum0118 its because of the plain flour. Bread flour and plain flour aren't the same. I bought "King Aurthur bread flour" and my pan de sal was super fluffy

  • looks yummy!!!

  • im making it right now followed ur steps and ingredients ill comment again after 1 hour or after the rising of the dough XD

  • i made this twice last week... everybody LOVED them!!! awesome! Thanks!

  • you sound so american than filipino thats kinda funny

  • I tried your recipe and my daughter like it a lot thanks....

  • Made these. Turned out really tasty.

Had to use a lot more flour when mixing, though. The dough is sticky, and sticks to the bowl.

Thanks for the great video recipe

  • Can I please get the exact measurements. I want to try it too.

  • This recipe is delicious! I followed it step by step and it turned out very nicely! I will make this again and again!

  • Nicely done!! Thank you for uploading.

  • Excellent video instructions!!! Very clear and precise. Definitely one of the better ones I've seen on YouTube. Keep up the good work. And please continue to make more videos of popular pinoy dishes!

  • thank u 4 being generous w/ ur recipe! love it!

  • wow sarap cguro nyan ano...hmmm try ko nga.

  • thanks for sharing this...KUDOS to your video~ very informative and looks yummy =)

  • A few tips. Notice the name and brand of the flour, that is important for the best rolls because protein percentages and type of wheat make a huge difference. Also, instead of using traditional yeast, use instant yeast (available at the same company as the flour) because you don't have to mix (proof) it with liquid. Just dump it dry into your ingredients before mixing your bread along with whatever liquid ingredients, and you will find that if puffs up in a fraction of the time. No hour wait

  • Yum! I love it! I left it sit after I cut it in pieces overnight...and it came out to this perfect size of pan de sal... This was such an easy and fast way to bake pan de sal and it tastes really good. Thanks so much for the recipe! =)

  • nice....... i really miss this... yummmm.... the smell of coffee and pandesal in the morning always makes my day start out right...
