You can only buy this cartoon series through wbshop.com and you can't play it on a computers' dvd-rom. Theses discs were not designed to function on a dvd-rom. If you want to play these dvd-download discs, you need a "Play-Only" device like a dvd player, Blu-Ray player or PlayStation 3.
That is probably because it was not a very big success even in its day. If my facts are correct, it only lasted two seasons. Not very long compared to some cartoons.
What in wondering is what's up with the inflate button in the first opening scene they took a good clasic show and messed it up with tht button......I'm 13 and I know that the general lee doesn't need any thing to help it land ugh......
I will agree they did produce a lot of decent cartoons. If I had to pick a favorite, I will probably go with the "Flintstones". I also enjoy "Yogi Bear" and "Quick Draw Mcgraw". Oh the memories!
For some reason, one cartoon that I was never really able to get into was "Scooby Doo". It just never appealed to me. However, I enjoyed all of the others that you mentioned. Nice chatting with you!
I saw the premier episode when I was 6 or 7, and was so disappointed that Coy and Vance were the main characters that I never watched it again. I had no idea that it got a second season, much less that Bo and Luke were the stars of that season.
@JLil And the problem is.....what? Granted, that concept was getting rather long in the tooth, gripe duely noted. So, who's up for some Speed Buggy?! :^D
I'm glad that you found one and thanks for offering me help in finding it but I already received this show as a christmas present. Please enjoy the show and have a nice day.
@Tyser007 Hi, it's me here in Canada again i see that you are also having the same trouble finding this DVD Set. Since WBshop won't ship to Canada I was lucky enough to buy one on ebay for about $60.00 which is double the price WB are asking but I had to have this. go to ebay and type "dukes complete series" to find it. you also need a ebay account purchase. i hope i helped.
Continued from last post. Unfortunately, I do not know what dvd stores would have this collection used. You may need to call different dvd stores to see if they have a used copy of this collection. Sorry.
I'm sorry but since this collection is a wbshop exclusive, the only other way to buy this collection is to buy it used from dvd store. Also, this collection will not play on pc dvd-rom drives. You will need to play these discs in either a PlayStation 3 or a regular dvd or blu-ray player that is connected to your tv in order for these discs to play. The reason for this is because the discs all say "dvd download". Only dvds that say "dvd video" play in pc dvd-rom drives. Continued...
Sorry, but I forgot to mention that if you want to buy this animated series on dvd, you HAVE to buy this collection on the Warner Bros. shop site because this complete animated series collection is ONLY available from wbshop. According to the website it is $29.99 plus shipping and possibly tax too. That is the lowest price you are going to find this collection for unless you want to buy the set used. Not even Amazon has this collection. I already tried looking for it on Google too.
I never knew about this cartoon until I looked it up. I never saw it because I never found it on tv. I also couldn't buy the show because it was never released on dvd. That is until now. It's still coming Dec. 6th.
This is from an era where the kids watched tv with their parents and enjoyed the same shows. Of course they were all made into cartoons afterward, but it's amazing how many of the actors did the voices for their animated counterparts.
What would they have now? Friends, the animated series? Dharma and Greg's Happy Vegan Funtime? There's already been a few versions of Star Trek on cartoon, so they have the science fiction aspect covered. What next?
Super corny of course but then you have to look at what age it was aimed it. That aside, I wonder why they couldn't have included any of these with the dvd sets? It seems every damn show in the 1970's and early 1980's had a cartoon made of it, didn't it?
I watched the "Dukes" as a kid and I even have the complete seasons 1-4 on DVD all I need is 5-7 but I never seen or even heard of this cartoon? Where did this shit come an how many seasons was it on?
@westcoastlife007 The Dukes cartoon ran for 2 seasons on CBS in 1983 with Byron Cherry and Christopher Mayer as Coy and Vance for season 1 and in season 2 with John Schnider and Tom Wopat as Bo and Luke. I do believe this was the same time in TV series where Byron and Chris filled in for John and Tom while the original Duke cousins had left the show due to contract problems. In 1981 Chrisotpher Hensel appeared on an episode as Jeb Duke.
@westcoastlife007 It was on Saturday mornings, and it was for two seasons. Unfortunately, I HAD to endure the cartoon, since CBS was the only channel I could get ,when I was a kid...
@Smartboy8877 ..Yes,it was... When I got DirectTv in 1996 , I was like a kid on Christmas morning... By that afternoon, I about died, when I over dosed on too many channels .
Moonrunners, how bad was that movie, LOL I'm so glad they chenged it before the television series. Also the web address at the end of these credits don't exist anymore.
I happen to know of a lot of cases in which black people as well as other minorities protested to the use of the Confederate flag. They said that it was a symbol of pride of being the decendents of slave owners. Oh course people from the South acted shocked and apalled by that accusation! They said that the flag and nothing to do with slavery or hatried. However, I never heard this being debated in regards to the "Dukes of Hazzard". Any ideas about why?
I remember a similar question being asked about the Road Runner cartoon. If the kayoty (or however you spell it) can afford to buy all of the tools and equipment used in his attempts to kill the Road Runner, who can't he afford to order some food so he does not have to eat the Road Runner?
I vaguely remember watching this. I was about 9 when it came on, What I don't remember is, was there an episode of this that show Bo and Luke returning and Coy and Vance leaving like on the show. Or did Cy and Vance just disappear without any explanation? Were Enos, Cletus, or Cooter ever on this/
This shows first ten or so episodes starred coy and vance and with no explanation Bo and Luke took up the race this show made no sense if the dukes are on probation how are they traveling around the world and why is Roscoe driving boss hogs caddy and not a race car this show proves that inbreeding is a bad idea.
This show has not been seen anywhere in America since it's original air dates in 1983 and we need to convince the people of Warner Home Video to release it on DVD since they have released all the seasons of the live action Dukes of Hazzard show.
So the "fake Dukes" Byron Cherry and the late Christopher Mayer, were in the cartoon as well

While i don't claim to be a serious fan of this TV series-"THE DUKES" cartoon is
another rare example of the TV turned toons syndrome, that started in 1973,when
almost all the cartoons that primered that year, were spin-offs of many popular TV
series. in this 1983 cartoon series by Hanna-Barbera,CBS was still riding high on
its success with "THE DUKES OF HAZZARD" series,,so as strange as it may be,
a cartoon spin-off for this show was not too suprising-but ironicly,Warner Bros.
