Well articulated. It's my fear that transition for me will create an apprehension in women to approach me as a friend. But like Preston said before me, I'm a really gentle person, and I'm pretty confident that my gentleness will come through even with transition...
I've heard from black transmen that they also feel pressured. Like women crossing the street or running in the opposite direction when they see them coming. Or being harassed more often by cops. Its going to be a tough transition but I'd like to represent the good side of men as much as possible.
Just hopefully, I won't be looked at as a delinquent because I am far from it.
I am finding that I relate less and less with biomales as time goes on and certainly women at college prefer to be around me than them even though they don't know that I am not one of the "guys".
I show emotion unlike the bioguys and I'm really gentle in the way that I hold myself, I don't mess around and I just get on with things, prefering to be around even feminine conversations rather than "macho" conversations.
I would hate to be seen as violent just because I'm male because I am not.
That's one of my biggest fears as well.. being read as male in a way that is threatening to women.. it kinda holds me back in my decision-making process of whether I want to transition at some point in my life or not. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who feels that way. It's great that you are becoming more open - I'm looking forward to seeing more videos :) Thanks for sharing
Thank you for sharing your experience on the panel. I have had such feelings as well. It's great that the guy had the guts to say that other guys feel the same way.
Great video - I really appreciate the conversation that outlines both the seductive aspects of masculinity as well as it's problems and complications. I'm excited to hear more and see what other's have to say!
I felt the same at the very beginning of my transition. I dont feel that way now. Its just something "new" that all of us transmen experience. Finally being seen as male and being placed in that category, it can be a shock at first. For me it resolved about 6 months into transition. Good points though.

At least I hope.
You look and sound great, friend. :)
