That was very good. I'm actually considering getting a Steinberger Synapse XS-1FPA Custom. How is the overall build quality? And do you think it would hold up to Alternative Metal such as the band Tool?

Kristian, I'm not very impressed with the build quality -- the way the parts like the battery door fit on the instrument is not very secure, and the truss rod is flimsy and apparently easy to break. I love the sound of the bridge and pickup system, but it just doesn't compare to the build quality of old Brooklyn or Newburgh Steinbergers. I'd look for a different bass for use in a band.

Thanks for the info, It's too bad the build quality isn't good. I guess I'll just spend a bit extra and get a 5-string Warwick Corvette.
