yeah, i can him singing throughout the verse and chorus. but i was thinking of the screaming along during the chorus from the recorded version. it's really low in the mix, but once you pick it out it totally kicks ass!
New Member here. Please be patient if this is messed up. I've always believed the connection to this theme is that Husker Du was from Minneapolis, and that the Mary Tyler Moore Show was "supposed" to take place there also. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm almost 40, and this was a long time ago. (I.E. OLD) Later,
I love Husker Du, but I always put this in their "listless" song category like the song the track "Perfect Example" (I think that was the name.) That droning Husker Du thing they did. Never understood the attraction they had to this song, but they wrote so many great original tunes that who cares what I think of this cover.
they put Nortun instead of Norton in the credits.

Bob looks like a somewhat "rounder" version of Josh Homme in this clip.

Can anyone tell if this live version has Grant singing background on the chorus, basically screaming like on the studio version?

Grant is definitely singing along with Bob on this.

I think the appeal has something to do with them being from where "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" was set, i.e., Minneapolis.
