The guitar sounds amazing! I've heard some complaints though about a really annoying hum coming from this type of pickup. Have you had any troubles with that at all?
@gustophr - man u sound amazing! do you think the guitar sound better in actual or the sound is better in your recording. coz im planning to buy one but its really far from our place, so its really hard to have a try of that guitar. but still amazing.!
Thanks. The pickup was plugged directly into a Zoom H4, and that added reverb and maybe some amp modelling. For a truer picture of the acoustic sound, listen to some of my other posts - this one is probably least representative of the acoustic sound. There are also plenty of good demos of Larivees on YouTube. It seems to be considered a great sounding guitar for the money. I've mostly been using Martin strings: I'm going to try Elixir and post with those soon, hoping for even better.
It is just installed temporarily - you can see the wire hanging out of the sound hole in the video. To install it permanently, you do have to get a hole drilled and a bit of soldering to get a jack in place. I think there are YouTube videos showing that kind of thing (I will probably get a shop to do it), and instructions on the Fishman site.

Hi,
did you have to pierce your guitar body, when you use this Fishman rare earth single ?
Great sound by the way. I mean it.
