The Russians tried so hard with tins of explosives to destroy it but in vain. but they destroyed it to the extend that it remained no more accessible. So the Germans filled more concrete and built the residential complex on it! :)

I went there too on a school trip, was expecting at least SOMETHING but was faced with rocky ground and grass, and cars... :( disappointed, but there reason was understandable, people feared Neo-Nazis would use the Fuhrer bunker as a place to celebrate Nazism and a place to basically cause trouble, so it makes sense really. Still a bit of a shame it was destroyed though.

The Russians would've had to rebuilt it, which they would not have done anyway so, unfortunately it was a lost cause. It could have been made into a Museum about Hitler and the evils of Fascism.

I went there too on a school trip, was expecting at least SOMETHING but was faced with rocky ground and grass, and cars... :( disappointed, but there reason was understandable, people feared Neo-Nazis would use the Fuhrer bunker as a place to celebrate Nazism and a place to basically cause trouble, so it makes sense really. Still a bit of a shame it was destroyed though.

They acted like they had never heard of the Burgerbraukeller or the Nieblungen Bridge in Linz.Take a compass and a good map with you if interested in this phase of their history and write down any addresses clearly that you may have gleaned from your research. Arabs never were from palestine and neither were they from Turkey hence the great revolution in Turkey. Show the "thousands of evidence" in palestine? You cant because it is of a non arab population in Israel and how it was all Israel and the region was renamed under empire rule. @majdijr the wafq has been digging below the Temple Mount to destroy all evidence of Judaism at the sight which they can never do with the western wall in their way. Israel has found many a thing near the wall but will not dig under the mount unfortunantly.

I'm a historian, and I do think the Nazis were evil, only because of the holocaust, but Hitler's bunker was an important piece of history. Fucking COMMUNISTS ruining history, and what do you know, we have one running the USA. Hmm. Hitler's bunker would've been nice to tour, and besides that, Germany would've made a lot of money off of the tour money. Same with Ukraine. Touring Chernobyl and Pripyat, and look at the money they get! It's just wow. Destroy history....Damn

And they are both gone. They were marvels in the world of architecture. You people need to understand that. @NCOProductions The Fuhrerbunker could have been saved but I doubt the chancellery could have been. All the air raids and the actual battle for Berlin inflicted so much damage to the building. The Russians would've had to rebuilt it, which they would not have done anyway so, unfortunately it was a lost cause. It could have been made into a Museum about Hitler and the evils of Fascism.
