Actually, although I dont believe in creationism. I think this is quiet a good way to control the population. The bible, while many dispute it, does record history. Whether you believe it all is up to you. @Jakyle1 well unlike religon, you CAN question it. i myself believe darwins theory is currently the most reliable, but it aint perfect. the main flaw i think is that no fossils have yet been found that replicate what a human evolved from, but there is counter evidence to this. theres also a number of alternate theories i may look into, evaluate them aswell. you see unlike religon, your not FORCED to belive or condemned if you dont, you have complete choice, and thats enough for me :P

A ridiculous amount of scientist have lost their jobs or reputations for even taking a gander at intelligent design. Another thing that I can't agree to Christianity. They say that if you are not Christian, you are going to hell when salvation comes. That's coming a bit too strong. This just means that they are threatening people to join their religion. Using fear to control. If their is such thing as true religion, God should not decide people by their believes on different religion. God should only judge one person by their choices and actions in his/her life. Not which group you joined.

Another things. Wasn't the Bible like, rewritten tons of times by corrupted Popes? And that it was rewritten in their favour to control people? So that means at the most, only half of it is true. Also, Bible is not the oldest book, Christianity is not the oldest religion, it's actually younger than Egyptian and Greek. This definitely shows that people who tries to just say things like "Our religion is right" secretly hidden in their sentences, are in fact just blindly following something.

They are pushing their ideas into kids' head without letting them choose which one to believe in. Teaching isn't pushing ideas into heads, it's about telling a tale, but letting the listeners freely choose other choices. This is just really pushy...

The bible, while many dispute it, does record history. Whether you believe it all is up to you. I believe God made everything and everyone, however I also believe over time humans have evolved (wisdom teeth are a good example imo). I also believe there's no harm in believing it. If I die believing Jesus is my key to heaven, what do I lose if I'm wrong? Nothing.

@greentiger332 Well, being not well versed in the religion, I'm under the assumption that they believe in one God, that Moses, Abraham, and Jesus were prophets, that everyone will be judged according to their deeds and belief in said God, and that in general good people will go to heaven. They pray often, focus on family, and put great importance in their faith. So again my thought, what have they to lose by being wrong? What does the atheist have to lose being wrong? Just my two cents.

Dinosaur might be a brand new word, but dinosaur bones arent brand new, they ARE millions of years old. Whether or not he is convinced or not doesn't give him a right to FORCE his opinions on these children - which is exactly what he is doing. Everyone is entitled to have their own opinion on evolution vs creationism. Although I find it horrifying how these kids are been brainwashed to believe and not to reason, it comforts me to know that when they grow up, they will eventually form their own opinion on the matter.

This is disgusting. I don't mind if people want to believe in their religions, because they have a right to believe whatever they want. It horrifies me, however, when people try to push their religious beliefs so strongly on their children that it conflicts with their intellectual development and the way they learn.
Parents should not be teaching their children to accept the world of the bible as fact without questioning anything. Skepticism is a powerful thing that should be encouraged.

The evidence for evolution is astounding, evolution and natural selection are a fact of life.
Even the taxonomy that was described by anatomical study in the 18th century was bolstered by darwin and almost perfectly mirrored when the ability to sequence DNA was discovered in the mid-20th century.
