When Michael says when are you ever going to learn? It made me sad because the answer is Brian is never going to learn his parents will always get to him because deep down he wants them to love him...even though they won't he's hoping they will change.
Justin is at Brian's loft. Here, Brian and Justin don't have the relationship they have later in the show, not yet. But even if they had had it, he would never have gone to Justin in this situation, you know. Because Justin doesn't know anything about Brian's relationship with his father. Michael knows everything. He has seen it first hand. The kind of understanding that Michael has about this situation is privileged, unlike Justin. ;-)
