I actually believe I was meant to meet Ruth, I was drawn to the Womens Mysteries book by Z, and lo and behold a few weeks or maybe even a week later I met Ruth in person never knew she was known by Z. I admire Ruth greatly and will purchase her book soon.
Thanks for interviewing Ruth Barrett. She was my first Wiccan teacher. I was drawn to her at a festival where I attended many lectures. She was the only person who said "This path might not be for you. It's not the one true path. It's A path, and it resonates with some people." Wow! I was intrigued and took a class from her and the rest is herstory. :) I co-founded The Nature Church in PA, so her influence continues to spread... Thanks - I'm glad I discovered this series.
I absolutely agree with this particular statement by Rev. Don Luis, "I think the worst mistake people make is when they look to their spirituality to not evolve and think that it should be perfect and never changing." Well spoken. It seems to me that many religions try to teach this idea, but sadly some followers misunderstand. Christians often state that they are trying to be closer to God. Budhists work towards enlightenment. Spirituality, as with many things in life, should never be stagnant.
