  • One of the greatest artists ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Does anyone know the type of microphone he's using in this video?

  • RIP Harry. Extremely underrated artist

  • Thought it was Paul Williams. Rest in peace, Harry.

  • An amazing artist. What a voice!!

  • This is my favorite version of the song. So lush, so beautifully sung. Thanks Harry.

  • Harry is one if not the best all round singer of all times, and he just takes this song to another level ...

  • Thanks Harry wherever you are, I discovered you to late in life but now that I have I am addicted.

  • 2:26 is that a Becker sweatshirt? like ted danson

  • No...it's not the same old song when Harry sings it...remains excellent still...as time goes by

  • Wonderful song sung with deep feeling.Memories for me of Harry Nilsson run deep.

    Nostalgia?Yes 100%.

  • I have always loved Nilsson's music. But this is the first time that I listen to this remake. I guess it's true. "Only the good die young".

  • And, thanks once again, Harry. Too bad you left us so soon.

  • Sweet! I first heard this album on tape in college...1976! Fell in love with it...bought the LP...gave a copy to my Granddad...and have enjoyed it ever since. Of course Gordon Jenkins was a genius, too...all that great work with Sinatra and Nat King cole...some of my favorites. I hope each new generation can hear this...for the history lesson of the old tunes..and what a fantastic singer can do with them...thanks so much for posting!

  • I think Harry surprised a lot of people with his flawless delivery and modulation singing this timeless classic. It was arranged by Gordon Jenkins, Sinatra's arranger, and perfromed with the London Symphony Orchestra. What an incredible, naturally gifted musician he was. Raised by a single mum, he taught himself music while working as a bank johnny, and climbed to the very top of the tree. He died relatively young, but his legacy will out live we mere mortals.

  • high lovely

  • A shame he had such a self destructive personality.

  • We miss you Harry!

  • Bought this album when it came out way back when

Harry made me fall in love with these old classic songs

They were some of the best songs ever written

Others followed this trend of doing a cd of standards, but I always thought Harry was one of the best. This is a great, great album xo

  • @myblueroad Agree 100% with all you said about this album. Such wonderfully romatic and candle light music.

  • play it sam...

  • 時の過ぎゆくまゝにその身を任せ、感謝の意を忘れず真っ直ぐに歩いて行こう人生は

  • I have herd "As Time Go By" done by many good artist, never with the griping

softness and ease that Harry Nilsson brings, like no other before or since.

    Thanks man.

  • Love Harry Nilsson! This is a gereat video, good work!

  • In response to 2giggle24 "why keep throwing Einstein in there ...creepy. Personally I find Einstein's and Nilsson's genius a good match. I have read that this song was at least in part inspired by Einsteins discovery that time was relative as was mass etc. These were and still are troubling aspects of reality and this song was written to offer a consolation of sorts that at least something in life was unchangeable and not relativistic.

  • This album is so wonderful, if you don't have and get it.

  • just loveley, wish i had that time machine, the changes that could happen eh?

  • I love Harry Nilsson. My favourite singer of all time!. God Bless him xx

  • glen922 thanks to you for uploading a sweet rendition of perhaps the greatest love song of all time! More than enough said! This is the Nilsson i Miss, R I P Harry!

  • Was looking for the Chet Baker performance but this one comes pretty close!

  • I've heard this song many times in my life but had no idea who wrote it. Same with other tunes he did, simply awesome. WOW!

  • @packingone Do you have an idea who wrote it now? Hint: Not Harry :)

  • @packingone Nilsson wrote alot of great songs, but this one just happens to be an awesome cover...was written in 1931 by Herman Hupfield for the broadway show Everybody's Welcome ...

  • Play it again Harry. Here's looking at you kid.

  • HA! I remember that guy at :52 from high school!

  • hey 2giggle24, Does E=mc2 ring any bells?

  • wy keep throwing einstein in there? it's creepy. doesn'treally hgave anything todo with song.

  • harry you are still brilliant even though time goes by luv u mate

  • I love it... this was my first dance with my husband on our wedding...

    Gotta love Casablanca...

  • This song...breaks the heart!
