  • The last great president of the US is needed!! ANDREW JACKSON!!!

  • I'd rather have Wall Street running the country than a bunch of guys wearing the same uniforms and working for the same people.

  • And somewhere in a supposed afterlife, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, and Harry Truman are cheering for Bernie Sanders.

  • Sanders for president. Even at his age has more substance than 99% of America

  • First time I heard of this guy... And he's an indie from Vermount? Says something about the value of political parties doesn't it?

  • Can we please clone Bernie....we need an army of Bernies....

  • THEODORE ROOSEVELT WOULD BREAK THEM UP !!!

  • This guy is awesome, I think I'm getting a mancrush on him!

  • AMEN! this dude is sharp! hope he and ron paul are working together..if not, its a damn shame... but rock it bernie sanders!

  • @IndigoPhoenix His economic views completely conflict with Ron Pauls.... The ideology Ron Paul supports is exactly what Bernie goes off against in all his speeches.

  • @patient0Studios : that sux.. this is first time i have run across this guy...but from what he is saying here sounds like its in the same vein as ron. let me get more familiar w/ this guy so i can get a better picture of where he stands

  • The Government is now to big to fail and needs a bail out from China!

  • BERNIE SANDERS for PREZ

  • @george2648 Hear, hear. He's the man of the moment!

  • absolutely, too big to fail is too big to exist !

  • Fuck this country, burning this country to the ground would be doing the world a favor. Iam proud to be human and ashamed to be american. Talking only gives theses assholes enough time to pull the blankets over our eyes. Once we figure out what they are up to, congress talks for a few years while they figure out how to cover that up. Let them reap there rewards and lets burn everything they have stolen. America need to shed itself of this hold.

  • Highwater3,

Just so we're on the same page, reading back, seem like we aren't; the war I'm talking about is the Obama war in Afghanistan. The other one I thought was

won, so I'm for getting out already.

  • Another thing highwater 3,

Unemployment doesn't give you promotions, pay raises, put forth a good resume, provide opportunities like a real job/ career does.

I'm not for letting people collect unemployment forever and supplement unemployment with part-time jobs. It encourages laziness and a entitlement attitude which too many people have now.

I want my real money back that I lost on the ponzi scheme the democrats in congress put us through, and where Bush warned about. The housing inflation.

  • @observationclone

So how long should they be allowed to collect unemployment? And if they can't find work, what are they supposed to do?

  • @highwater03

B Clinton signed away all our jobs with NAFTA, oh wait...it just came out today that

government employees make far more than those working in non-govt jobs.

They ( govt ) says they earn more because they're more ' educated and skilled'.

Hey, dumbos in govt jobs, aside from essential services ( teachers aren't essential ), We need to down size you! And you're where the term, ' educated idiots' came from.

  • WRONG!!!!! Regulation caused this problem. The crisis was caused by the bill that YOU co-sponsored you beligerent fuck. The act that was written in 77' that you signed in to full force with Fannie and Freddie along with Dodd and Frank. YOU are the problem. On this point Bush was right and so was McCain. They were screaming and now my house is worth less than when I bought it. BECAUSE OF YOU YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!!!!

  • @SuperGuitarman69 Is your house worth less than when you bought it, Or is its value now realistic and not inflated for the sake of your creditors making TRILLIONS of profit for them and their buddies, off of you?\

Dont be so angry that you bought into the mortgage bubble when you did. Its your own fault, being guided blindly by your experts, advisors, economists etc. Didnt they tell you they are looking out for your best intrest? Your house was never worth what you paid for it, you got FISHED!!

  • @mattmatt115 No I blame YOU! Sanders, Dodd, Frank and the Dems write into law legislation to FORCE banks into risky loans. Conservatives were screaming that foreclosures would insu and put the whole housing market at risk. My loan was made before that. See, I have worked hard my whole life. Saved and paid off my debts to be able to prove to a lender I deserved a home. But the Dems think it is everyones right. So deadbeats got their loans and were foreclosed, then bailed out. BY ME!

  • @mattmatt115 Dodd and Sanders got healthy campaign contributions from Freddie and Fannie, Countrywide etc.... And I'm sure healthy kickbacks. I have a degree in economics, there wasn't any economist that wasn't screaming warnings at that time. Look up Peter Schiff! So who is to blame? YOU YOU YOU for voting in these pricks! I had words with Frank over this in February if this year. There were no cameras so he ignored me. Fucking asshole.

  • @mattmatt115 This crisis effects every home owner inspite of when you bought your home. Thankfully now people are waking up to the Dems bullshit. Except for people in Massachusetts and Vermont. They keep voting in these morons. Of course not all in those states are buying the leftists agenda, but there are quite a few idiots in those states. I've visited and worked in those 2 states. Wow, thank god for the common sense and intelligence of middle America or we would be completely screwed!

  • Obama's done nothing to stop it all happening again. What a wonderful world we live in!

  • The democrats also have too big too fail bailouts with taxpayer money.

In fact the last two years of Bush was a democrat majority in both houses of congress and how many bail outs and take overs of the " too big to fail " with BO and a overwhelming democrat majority in congress?

Sanders always votes with the dems.

But I agree; there should absolutely be no one too big to fail.

  • @observationclone

"In fact the last two years of Bush was a democrat majority in both houses of congress and how many bail outs and take overs of the " too big to fail " with BO and a overwhelming democrat majority in congress?"

And how much spending did Bush veto? And who started all these bailouts again? That's right, Bush and Paulson, went begging to Congress to bail out their Wall Street. But its okay when a Republican does it, right?

That must be some sweet ass koolaid.

  • @highwater03

Congress is the one that spends the money. ALWAYS.

Bush warned the democrats in congress, Waters, Frank, for a couple examples that the Freddie and Frannie were in serious trouble, and they angrily said they were not!

The democrats NEVER admit when they are wrong, Obama made BILLIONS of more debt, stimulas BILLIONS that did not work, were wasted, and goes missing. This president is a disaster.

You're drinking the Koolaid if you believe that this ' president' / congress is good.

  • @observationclone

How much did he veto? How much did he veto under his own GOP Congress? Republicans NEVER admit they are wrong, they simply blame their faults on health care reform, stimulus package, Medicare, SS, Muslims, minorities, or any other group they can scapegoat.

  • @highwater03

That sounds like what the democrats do, always blaming their faults on the tea party, racism, Bush, republicans and everyone but themselves.

The democrats own the present hell we're in.

When I see something worth praising, I will.

Haven't seen anything yet~not even close.

  • @observationclone

You mean the Tea Party that had no problem with govt. spending before January 20, 2009? That Tea Party?

  • @highwater03

    Where did you read that?

' The TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY ' ( TEA ) Party are just citizens that have 40 hour week jobs/ careers, that pay their bills and pay taxes.

Many are registered democrats and independents.

    Many are Blacks and Hispanics.

The silent majority is not so silent anymore.

  • @observationclone

You're simply a bandwagoner. $3 trillion borrowed for a stupid war didn't bother you. Doubling the national debt didn't bother you. $1.4 trillion deficit didn't bother you. Where were you for 8 years? Stop being a hypocrite.

"Party are just citizens that have 40 hour week jobs/ careers, that pay their bills and pay taxes." Like those old people that bitch about spending, but will be the first to cry foul if Medicare/SS gets cut? Like those "working" people?

  • @highwater03

They paid into medicare, so now they shouldn't get it?

The democrats have been robbing the social security fund for decades.

To pay for their robber baron projects.

Look at democrat Byrd, former KKK office holder; ask the citizens of WV, about

how many ridicious projects he had with his name on that was not needed.

Typical of democrats; good at spending other peoples' money.

  • @observationclone

Good grief, you're still defending Iraq. Good Lord.

  • @observationclone

7 years later, trillions of dollars later, 4,000 dead troops later, you're talking about "victory"? You mean the same victory that Bush proclaimed "mission accomplished"? If it was accomplished, why are we still there 7 years later?

I hope Obama does cut Medicare and SS. Then we'll see how "less govt spending" those old ass Tea Party people are. Remember, they're the same people that were all for borrowing $3 trillion for Iraq. Have any of them advocated leaving Iraq?

  • @observationclone

Since you're all for Iraq, why are you on this msg board? Why aren't you over there fighting for Iraq's freedom? Why aren't you spending your money on the "cause"? Typical Republican, all for spending other people's money on stupid wars, but bitch and scream socialism if people want their unemployment benefits. Its all good to spend $3 trillion in someone else's country, no problem, God forbid we spent it in our own.

  • @highwater03

I'm notr for Iraq, bring them home, and defend the border from invasion of the illegals.

I don't like war, and I'm an independent that votes conservative most of the time. I would never encourage anyone to sign up for the military ( unless it was a world war), but I support the troops always.

I scream about how the democrats are destroying our country, spending money on foolish crap none of us need, and indebting us to China.

  • @observationclone

And it was Bush/Paulson that asked for the bailout. But that was all good with you huh?

  • @highwater03

Bush is better than Obama, and none of the " too big to fail" bailouts are okay.

They should have failed, broken up and be taken over by competitors or new

companies. I was never for bail~outs.

Obama and the democrat majority in congress own the present problems.

They voted for a health care that an overwhelming majority of Americans want

    repealed.

They ' created' jobs that cost huge amounts of money, many of them temporary

    census jobs.

They want illegals to be citizens.

  • @observationclone

    Bush is better than Obama?

Leaving with a 22% approval rating? Are you kidding me? Lied about WMDs, borrowed $3 trillion from one country we hate to spend in another we hate? 4,000 troop lives, all based on a lie? Are you serious? Yea okay.

  • Are you living in a vacuum ?

BO's approval rating has dropped to only the core group like yourself.

    He's lied about every single one of his campaign promises;

#1 campaign promise; no new taxes on the middle class

Even with the lying govt sponsored media, most people are venturing out

and getting the uncensored news .

So the truth is leaking out.

When is BO going to bring home the troops?

I thought that was a big issue for you ?

  • @observationclone

You shouldn't want the troops home.............this is your war after all.

  • @highwater03

I want the troops home if they aren't given every opportunity to win; with all the

needed tools to do so, otherwise, bring them home.

Obama promised when he was running for president that he was going to bring

    the troops home.

I keep trying to bring you back to the present; it's 2010, Obama is president, the democrats own congress, and have for almost four years.

Seems to me like all our troubles began when the congress was taken over by the democrats.

  • @observationclone

Opportunity to win? Are you kidding me? This man told you in 2006 THERE WERE NO WMDs in IRAQ! What part of NO WMDs do you not understand? The American people have turned from this stupid war. And you're still sipping the WMDs koolaid? Wow.

And you want troops home? But at the same time still support this phony ass war?

What is "victory" defined as? Killing all terrorists? Stopping violence? Is that it? How many more troops have to die for your phony war in Iraq?

  • @highwater03 Wow, still trying to drag the argument back to 2008 and before.

Unfortunately, we can't re~write history, if we could, I'd live in that alternate

universe where intelligent people didn't vote for a all democratic congress, and a obama.

I said, if obama is unwilling to give the troops the tools they needed to fight the war, bring them the hell home!

Since he isn't willing~bring them the hell home!!!

  • @observationclone

Opportunity to win? Win what exactly? What did Iraq do to us? Not a damn thing! Bush said Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. So why were over there? Good grief.

"Typical of democrats; good at spending other peoples' money." Spending other people's money? Ridiculous projects? You mean like spending $3 trillion for Iraq? Was Iraq necessary? When are you going to open your eyes? There is NO victory, just a wasted $3 trillion and 4,000 troop lives. Wake up.

  • Who else feels they would vote for Bernie Sanders for 2012? If we work together, we can get it done!!

  • Any company that is too big to fail is too big to exist!

  • I love this socialist.I love pure evil.

  • Put this man in the White House.

  • @nocturnezero

    AMEN!

  • This is why the government is on the verge on pissing Americans off so much revolution happens. The government takes lobby money and votes to keep big corporations in business.Meanwhile the corporations send the jobs WE PAID FOR WITH TAXES overseas to countries who are our ENEMIES.A sure way to destroy a country is for that country to build up the economy of their enemies.Banks do not lend to small businesses and continue to get FEDERAL money which seems like communism but politicians stay quiet.

  • All of you randroid windbag idiots who bitch about the government needs to listen very hard to this speech.

  • Sounds quiet in there? Anyone of those cheap whores even listening to him?

  • Nope they're too busy taking bribes from wall street.

  • The worst offender as always is Big Government.

  • you're so simple. scared of everything

  • What about the greed on wall street?

  • @AntiStalinist

...you mean Big CORRUPT Government CONTROLLED by Wall Street is the worst offender!

Unregulated corporations that are too big to fail are the problem!

  • 2012. Run Bernie! we need you!

  • @illusionofsafety07 GOD ! WE NEED MORE SENATORS TO PROTECT THE MIDDLE CLASS FROM BLOOD SUCKING RICH !

  • Bernie Sanders is the man. He is one of the few people in Washington that give me hope that not everyone there is a blood sucking parasite. We should makes clones of Bernie Sanders and have them take over Washington.

  • I love Bernie Sanders. And I don't even agree with him on numerous issues.

  • Could we handle a Socialist President?

  • Could we? Hold onto your butts, here we go...

  • In France we did ...

  • It's what we need.

  • @whereismybailouttv

probably ... we handled a president who acted as fascist one for the past eight years!

  • I hope that someday we can have people like Sanders, Kucinich, and Nader as the voice of the Democratic Party.

  • Amen

  • You win the internet. *High five*

  • @rosiechanel Bernie Sanders is an Independent, NOT a democrat..........

  • If those institutions are too big to fail, we the people are forever "Too Small To Succeed"..

  • I don't understand why some libertarians like bernie sanders. He's a socialist.

  • @TaffyAlpha

    Libertarianism isn't necessarily right-wing...

There is social-libertarianism. Which is alot more left-wing than what Berine Sanders advocates.

  • I'm an anarcho-Socialist, but respect that there will always be a government in America, and if there must be one, it's job has to be to safeguard the wealth and well-being of all people in its jurisdiction.

  • I'm a Libertarian and a Socialist. One is an economic idea, one is a social idea. I believe that people should have as many possible social freedoms - imbibe whatever substances, engage in prostitution, abort unborn fetuses, do what you want to do - but that does not conflict with my belief that people should democratically own business and the government should be a Participatory Democracy owning the largest corporations.

  • @TaffyAlpha

...maybe it's because you don't understand just a thought)

  • One politician that stands up for the average working person.. Go Bernie Go !

  • Bernie Sanders is the man!

He says what needs to be said and he says it loudly.

  • Nice work. keep it up. mean time come for social media marketing for esteembpo**com

  • Let the big corporations bail themselves out....They caused it on their own. See what happens when you become greedy..."What's done in the dark wil soon come to ligh"t... The Goverment should be helping the lower and middle class citizens more!!

  • The only man in congress speaking for the American people.

  • Ron Paul introduced HR1207 to audit the Fed. Sanders introduced the sister bill in the Senate S604. tell your congresspeople to support those bills and speak for yourself.

  • Funny how two men from opposite sides come together like that.

  • Russ Feingold too.

  • Phil Gramm aka Dr. Bunsen Honeydew

What an absolute disaster the Bush administration was.

BTW, Bernie is the only one speaking out against the current oil/gas hikes. Good man.

  • "oil/gas hikes"

    ?? gas is cheap

    search youtube for this video

John Stossel Oil Prices Give me a break

  • It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.

    Henry Ford

Call your states senator and congressman.Ask them to audit the FED by supporting the following bills.

    In congress Ron Pauls-HR 1207

In the senate Bernie sanders S-604

Call & tell them know how you feel about the war, torture, nafta, the patriot act etc.

TOGETHER LET US TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY !!!!

  • SOMETHING GOOD WILL HAPPEN 2 U @ 9:10 SOMEONE WILL CALL U OR TALK 2 U ONLINE AND SAY I LOVE U OR ASK U OUT BUT HERES THE CATCH...send diz to 3 vidz

  • Great point Bernie, America needs this man to become president eventually !

  • The financial meltdown has revealed to America just how greedy and incompetent their ruling plutocracy really is. Not only have the systematically screwed the law-abiding taxpaying citizens of the USA, they now heap insult upon injury with their demands for bailouts and executive compensation.

The word banker is now synonymous (and rightly so) with the words greed, thief, and cunt.

  • Restore Glass-Steagall

  • NICE BERNIE !

  • he should be our president.he's the only one who cares about working people

  • correction** any company that is too big to fail should be nationalized

  • Senator Bernie Sanders, you are a king.

  • preach it sir

  • He hits it right on the head. Let's wake up and take back our country! No more corporate welfare. We need more accountability. Thank you Senator Sanders.

  • this guy is awesome. i saw his grilling of bernanke and you can really tell her genuinely cares about improving the economy for the benefit of the majority

  • Anybody got the video where he grills Bernanke. I only heard a soundbyte of and I can't find it on youtube

  • Sanders had it on his youtube, Senator Sanders.

  • It is true. More people are getting pissed.

  • Give 'em hell, Bernie. America's best US Senator.

  • See? Anyone who says the bailout is "socialism" really has forgotten the "social" part of the definition. The bailout isn't even socialism for the rich, it's straight-up right wing fascism.

  • Take all the $820 billion dollars we are about to print out for this "stimulus" package and give it to each home owner. It would equal $35,000 each. THEN, you take all the corporations who are "too big to fail" and you trust bust them. THEN you let all the people with 35k in their pocket get together and form CO-OPs. Economic crisis averted.

Vote for Shoga in 2012. I got this problem solved instantly.

  • are you suggesting that only 24.2M Americans own homes? (820Billion/35thousand)

  • we could atleast give some money to the ones who were pressured into getting adjustable rate incomes and who were OPENLY TARGETED by PR firms hired by these companies.

  • true-read up on Wells Fargo February Trip to Vegas... these guys were the largest writers of subprime mortgages, yet they got billions in bailout money and are pissing it away on "recognition weekends". Also, congrats to Bank of America for accepting billions in bailout and still finding a way to sponsor the Super Bowl (pre-existing contract or not).

  • Some of you need to look in the mirror and do something about your own lives. All those who speak positively and seek to first better yourselves and your community by sharing your knowledge, then kudos. Socialism, capitalism, communism.. either one could work if it wasn't for the dichotomy in available education and the price tag on life. Anger, fear, ignorance and judgement are the very fuel of the fire that rages in our world today. To love and understanding! Peace..

  • What did he do stop welfare for the rich? NOTHING. NOTHING. Big mouth. HE and his buddies destroyed the American dream. Blab, blab, blab. What has he done? What has he done? Patrick Leahy - CHAIR of the Judicary and what have they done to protect Americans? NOTHING.

  • Funny how Bush believes America can't afford social welfare and healthcare, yet when Wall Street is in trouble suddenly money is no problem, here, have as much as you need.

Corporate Welfare is many times more expensive than social welfare, and does far more damage to the economy, as it rewards incompetent businessman.

  • Bernie Sanders = America's hero, along with Ron Paul.. I think they actualy understand who OUR Govt. is supose to serve. Our Current Govt. Sure as hell doesn't support its people.. Ohh was I supose to say thank you for that 600 bucks which is roughly translated into 1,200 dollars I'm going to have to pay back via taxes? those TRILLIONS of our Dollars to bail out CEO's? which will cost us American's Thousands in taxes?! to do what for us? Lend us more money?! More Freakin Debt! More Slavery?!?!?!

  • Are you effing serious? Sanders is a SOCIALIST. Paul is a LIBERTARIAN. They are at the total opposite of the political spectrum. You are one of these morons on the internet who creams his pants when he sees a popular internet figure but doesn't actually know where they stand on the issues.

  • Son go back to watching cartoons. One thing your generation hasn't learned yet is you should listen before speaking. Ron Paul is a Repbulican once labled Lib. as for Sanders being a "Socialist" our country has continued to become a "Social" country sense FDR's New Deal. One that many historians would argue actualy worked. think. I say that he's a hero because HE spoke on the behalf of our nations people. WE CANNOT AFFORD MORE DEBT! Even now you owe at 15, over $35,000 soon to be alot more.

  • Comment removed

  • Enemies, both foreign & domestic . . .

The behemoth corporations of this world- both foreign & domestic- have strategically invaded this country & our government with armies of slick lobbyists, subversive attorneys & turncoat politicians in order to turn the protections of our Constitution into "nothing but a damn piece of paper" so that our nation's wealth could be plundered & our people enslaved to a "debt" based on criminal deception & lies.

This is treason of the highest order.

  • It's a pretty simple concept, I find it odd that more people don't realize it. It's not like it's a secret or anything, it's happening right in front of our noses. Maybe the news anchors won't say it in those words, but they report what's happening, and anyone with minimal critical thinking skills should notice something's going on here.

  • The majority of people, despite compelling evidence to the contrary, believe the powers-that-be are subject to the same laws as the rest of us. Nothing could be less true; but because they periodically "sacrifice" one of themselves to keep up appearances the people remain deluded & easy to exploit.

Those sacrificed wait until the public's short term memory problem kicks in (we can thank mainstream media for that affliction) & then reappear as something "new & improved" to reign, once more.

  • You tell them Senator Sanders! We need about 20 or 30 more Senators like Mr Sanders and then we will see actual change for the better.

  • @healthhavencom

    Effing moron...

  • @healthhavencom

Might you explain why this is?

I bet you Sanders understands economic theory alot better than you do.

Besides, Marxism is alot better than neo-liberalism... or social-democracy.

  • Kudos to Bernie for always speaking truth to power

  • Screw Bernie Sanders. He's a self described socialist.

  • the US is the only place in the world where merely calling someone a socialist is an argument against them. if this was somewhere else, calling Sanders a socialist would be an argument FOR him!

  • Which is why the US is the only superpower in the world. Just let us know when you have a tsunami or aids crisis, we'll send your little "society" money. Disgusting guttersnipe.

  • considering the wealth of the US, it spends a pittance on foreign aid. Cuba has more doctors out in Central America helping the poor than the US. Also, the fact that the US is the only superpower has nothing to do with the fact that it isn't as socialized as the rest of the world. in fact, the US is losing its superpower status. for a long time the US has been losing its status as an economic powerhouse, largely due to the fact that the workers have no healthcare and terrible conditions.

  • We shouldn't be sending any money to any foreign countries. We weren't set up as a socialist state, which is why we progressed so much faster than the rest of the world. We're slowing because we're leaning toward socialism. Higher taxes mean less incentive to work. It makes everyone equally miserable. Disgusting.

  • socialist states have actually progressed more rapidly than WE have. Look at Sweden. Sweden went from being one of the poorest countries in the world in 1850, to having the second largest economy in the world after world war 2 (which is incredible considering it had a population of 6 million, vs the US's 160 million!). Today, the average Swede is much wealthier, healthier, has better working conditions, lives a happier life, and lives in much less crime than the average US citizen.

  • germany is a social democracy, and have very, very high taxes compared to the US. and yet, they have the 3rd largest economy in the world (despite having a population 1/4 of the US's), and export more than anyone else in the world! all of the Scandinavian countries, and Belgium and the Netherlands are social democracies (have high taxes) and yet they are MORE productive than the US!!! the 'higher taxes makes people lazy' thing is SO MUCH BULL, it is demonstrably false.

  • India is the third largest economy. Scandinavia is more productive...define "more productive" - in what area? Furniture making? Punishing success does reduce peoples' desire to work. It's common sense. It doesn't "make them lazy" but it discourages them from working to earn more money. If you want to talk about what is demonstrably evident (sounds like someone just started college) - when government taxes a behavior, that behavior is reduced/discouraged in society. That's a fact you can check.

  • domestic product per hours worked. the only way the US can be seen to be more productive is domestic product per worker, which is becuase people in the US work longer hours, MUCH longer hours than people in West Europe. It isn't even legal to work more than 40 hours in France.

So things have changed in the last few years. Germany is the 5th largest economy. India and China are only in the top 5 becuase they have about half of the worlds population, and awful working regulation (overtime, etc).

  • weren't they trying to change that in France?

  • yes, and they did, but their work-week is still less than 40 hours. However, it is impossible/illegal for them to work more than that number of hours (38 now?). Here in the US, employers can make employees work as many hours as they want, theres no hard limit (believe it or not). they just have to pay them overtime (1.5x). Ive seen people in the US forced to work 60hour weeks, and 28 hours straight with no rest. this would never be allowed in France, if it happened, there'd be a scandal.

  • I know first hand how things are messed up in the US, i work in a distribution warehouse. since healthcare is so expensive (alongside other benefits), everyone is overworked. I work about 12 hours a day on average.

You still have nothing but your crummy logic to tell me why higher taxes curb productivity. If income taxes were at 95% or something, there would be an effect. But if you are taxed at 60%, earning money is still earning more money. those countries are very wealthy, taxes and all.

  • Well I'm sorry things suck for you, but why do you think it's a good idea to tie health insurance with employment? Don't you think that's an outdated notion?

  • i don't! i meant to say that we need nationalized healthcare, that way employers don't have to worry so much about paying these huge bills.

everyone should have health insurance no matter what job they have, or whether they work at all.

  • You are right on the money,Good point sartan2600. Bernie Sanders is a Democratic Socialist like myself. Democratic socialism does not punch your success It will allow you do achieve your dream on strong foundation not inflated number and cooked books like capitalism.. When you pay extra 15% on your taxes it does help: Give you a free health care 2)invest the money in the middle class which are your CUSTOMER!I think capitalism machine forget that without GAS in the tank it will not move forward
  • Yes, that's because Germany and Scandinavia nd Belgium have free healthcare and education for the taxes they all pay. In the U.S we get NOTHING! Except bailouts for Wallstreet fatcats, Coporate theives and Bad automakers.

  • The Reagan era saw the highest level of unemployment in our nation's history, nearly 11%, with the lowest corporate income tax. That says something about "leaning away from 'socialism'" and the 'free' market's capacity. Also, you seem to presume that the United States operates on a flat tax system. In the 1910's Woodrow Wilson, a democrat, brokered a deal with fiscally-conservative republicans to create what we now know as progressive taxation. That is: the more wealthy, the more taxed one is.

  • True on all counts.

  • Very impressive explanation of the greed that has destroyed the United States' economy. I feel bad for the taxpayers who have to pay for rich assholes to get richer. America needs a new government in the form of social democracy;Mixed economy and social responsibility. This is the smartest American I have had the pleasure of listening to.

  • I wish he was our next president

  • Hell yeah, Bernie. You're the man.

  • I heart Bernie Sanders

  • Hey George, thanks for the video.

I still can't believe the nerve of Bush's government asking the victim's of this financial mugging to pay off the muggers! Bush's government also has a duty to police those financial crooks on wall street, but they also failed in that basic duty to the public.

  • you act like politicians aren't in on the mugging

    lol

  • I respect this guy, I am enamoured with this senator Bernie Sanders. It takes real balls, intergity and love for the country not the homeland to say this. This is principal. What is going is so wrong, That The short space alotted cannot fill it. It is to put it in simple terms for people that only see black and white, evil. I am moved by his passion and earnsty. I am moved, and My love and spirit for America just was renewed some hope.

  • You need to understand you are watching a devout Marxist. What he is driving home is the very basis for the Marx dialectic. "Capitalism it the big enemy", what he is not telling you is that his replacement for capitalism is state run communism. Look him up in relation to the Democratic Socialists of America, Party of European Socialists, and the Progressive Caucus, the find Yuri Bezmenov righ here on YOUTUBE and you will find your answers

  • I will do that because I try to have an open mind. However I do know that the practices under taking right now and the direction of the US economic is not the kind of Capitalism that we want and was meant for the country. The Market should be as free as possible with minimal control by the government. A night watchman state, right. I dont see that anymore. I will still look up what you are saying because there may be validity to your agrument.

  • what are you, delirious? Wake up and smell the coffee!

  • No Bail out for the Private Bankers! Nationalize the Federal Reserve. In my Opinion we don't need to "buy" any of this. Not one penny.
