I love her so much. I wonder if she practices those crazy vocal antics or if they just happen in the moment. From a musical perspective, I would lthink that she would have to have an inkling as to whether or not she can hit certain notes...yet, part of me thinks it's all organic and happens as she feels it. Truly, one of the great wonders of our world.

we all know she can sing..but Ive been watchin this chick for decades now and the thing that ALWAYS jumps out at me is how much fun she's having when she sings. This is the thing she was born to do and you get the feeling that singing picked her...she didnt pick singing. When those pumps get to scootin' across that stage and she makes those ugly faces, she's having the time of her life. Fans, have to know that the singer gives a damm. And she always has.

I love how he says "new" star... she's been singing for almost 50 years. This performance... watching Patti doing this reminds me of watching a Ferrari in first gear just waiting to let loose. Tony is a legend, no doubt. But Patti doesn't just steal the show she drags it across the country, the state, the town and then across the stage. The space shuttle doesn't have that much horse power. They don't make em like Miss Patti anymore.

Ya know, Tony is a true professional. Not many vocalists would even dare attempt a LIVE duet with LaBelle. I love how he sings with confidence; never allowing her crazy antics or unpredictability to effect his performance. This clip displays exactly why Patti LaBelle should be declared a national treasure!

This just goes to show, that while Ms. Patti is known for her impressive wide vocal range and extremely powerful vocal displays, she is also adept in performing different genres and vocal techniques, in this case, jazz. Go get 'em Ms. Patti! =D
Of course, Tony Bennett (and his band) was, as always amazing. =D
