  • REBUKE THE REPUBLICAN XD

  • Oh, no, Lady gaga was a illuminaty :S

  • Madonna is the bet

  • Msnbc is run by filthy jews.

  • @billplatinum6 I take it you are a... Christian?

  • @billplatinum6 Aren't you the one that wrote the musical Springtime for Germany? Your portrayal in The Producers was awesome?

  • @techepix Are you sure you are not confusing evangelicalism with fundamentalism? There certainly is a difference even though it does not seem so to many. Evangelicals understand that we are stewards of God's earth and that many feel we should address global warming, excuse me, climate change. Fundamentalists on the other hand are pretty much are lockstep with Falwell and Dobson and are fellow corporate tools.

  • @techepix No, the poll is not by MSNBC - it is by Public Policy Polling. And yes since these people want to turn this country into an oligarchy, yes, they are retarded. I am tired of rule by village idiots and the sooner people in this country wake up to this crap the better. Schaeffer is spot on.

  • . Why are white pple condemned for using the N word ? Do some research here on Utube. Look at the discussion between Whoopie Goldberg & Elizabet Hasselbeck on The View. Look at all the vids by Tim Wise.

  • I grew up in a fundamentalist, legalistic church and Frank Schaeffer is right-on-the-money.

  • @auntstacey123 Would you please tell us your story... or email it to me! I am very interested in experiences such as these!

  • @gotama420 '...a god of love would not create a place for absolute suffering.' I am 100% in agreement with this. Not to mention, if a God is all knowing, then how could ever expect that something as fallible as a mortal man to live a perfect life. This is the same thing as expecting a child to tie it's shoes correctly on the first attempt or be thrown in the garbage. It makes no sense to a thinking mind. Christians today want to be the world police...even though they themselves are corrupt.

  • @gotama420 And both of them...and everything else in books of superstitions come from the fearful minds of men.

  • Evangelical Christians pray for End Times.

In other words they want to eradicate their misery by wiping out all of humanity, including themselves.

  • That is why I think they should be all get together and commit mass suicide.

  • The true AntiChrist or satanist are these very same people who bleieve this garbage. They have invented this sick demon to excuse their own ridiculous behaviour. Christians are to blame for mass genocides across the globe including the biggest holocaust ever to take place and that was the indigenous one that wiped out 200 million people by the way of rape, torture child rape, child murders and flat out murder to this day. Christians are sick bunch and they will die by their own means.

  • i couldn't agree more, and I am a christian, LOL

  • Considering God didnt listen to their prayers during the last election (wasnt there supposed to be some horrible storm during his nomination speech?) I doubt he's going to listen to their prayers for Obama to die.

  • CULT. That about says it all.

  • Schaeffer is a Greek Orthodox Christian

  • the village idiot is any religion.

  • Great show very interesting

  • Evangelical Christians are mentally unstable.

  • Oh No Shit Sherlock it took me five minutes to figure this out how long did it take you

  • This guy is awesome.

"We have a village idiot in this country: it's called fundamentalist christianity."

    Well said, sir!!

  • I like this guy.

  • This is needed to be said. Some sanity at last.

  • "A village cannot reorganize village life to fit the village idiot"

Awesome quote. I'm using that sometime.

  • It works for us here in Avalon, CA.

  • @SolRosenberg84 It's pretty sad that pretty much all of the 21st century reich wingers give us plenty of opportunity to use this phrase frequently.

  • @SolRosenberg84 Given the egregious stupidity of the post-2008 Republican Party, I use this phrase ALL the time! Perry and Bachmann - dueling idiots.

  • mangaire...yes but it is all based on what you are looking at. Go look at Life ministries or Heidi Baker in Mozambique and many of the ministries of love, healinga and compassion in this nation. There are so many good things being done in Jesus name...some folks just choose to caricature the ugly and disgusting parts of the family of faith. I love Obama and think he has lots of talent and is in many ways a good leader; but I stand agaisnt some of his views. It is that simple.

  • ee353402:

i don't agree with EVERYTHING President Obama stands for either

but the hateful attacks on him, by self-styled christians are disgusting & unChristian

& i don't find many US Christians condemning the hateful attacks & those who make them

that was the point i was trying yo make

  • OK. The Bible is clear we are not to speak evil of a leader of the people. I can oppose policy without slander and I am sorry that people, in the name of God, slander and speak evil; but that is not how God teaches us to act. It is not most Christians anyway, at least not the ones I know. It is a vocal group to be sure. Hey thanks for talking to me and being kind. Brad

  • ee353402:

youtube is full of these so-called US Christians, raging with hate

they are a disgrace to Christianity & to the US

it is rare to find a US Christian taking them on

so it's little wonder that many believe that all US Christians are like the bigots we see here

  • Amen to that.

  • Amazing to me that he can lump conservative Christians in one bucket and call us all lunatics and basically morons and then accuse us of racism. this is the most blatant attack on PEOPLE and name calling I've ever heard. Condescension doesn't make you right. Sure there has always been extreme views on the religious right; but in this nation people have always been able to believe what they want. Watch out when the media tells you how and what to believe...next you'll be drinking the Koolaid.

  • You think that's blatant??? Watch the videos about Obama protestors during and after the election. People call all liberals communists and traitors and they are extremely racist in the process. Guess who all those protestors are.

  • I go to a church full of people none of whom believe Obama is the Anti Christ. Lumping all conservative Christians in a pot and dehumanizing us is ignorant. It really does remind me of how the German nation (for the most part) under Hitler dehumanized the Jews. I was a political conservative before Mr. Obama and my views have nothing to do with his skin color. I do believe in Jesus. If that means Frank thinks I'm an idiot; so be it. As far as bigots? They exist on the right and left.

  • You do realize "Christian Conservative" is an oxymoron? Christ's teachings could not have possibly been any more liberal slanted.

  • Conservatives generally want to maintain the 'status quo' while liberals are pushing to change the status quo. Jesus pushed for change and thus was liberal, however, for the next 2000 years the status quo was then religion/ Christianity. So Christianity became 'conservative' in this sense yet Jesus was also 'liberal' in terms of moral philosophy - opting to help those around him. Strangely, modern US conservative Christians want nothing more than to reduce taxes and not help the poor.

  • no hate, no racism, nobama!

  • What makes these kind of christians any different then extremist Muslims in the rest of the world???

  • don't know much about "extremist Muslims"

but as a Christian, i know that these so-called US extreme rightwing christians are not followers of Christ

in fact, they reject much of what Christ stood for

  • I feel the same way - right-wing Christians seem as narrow, judgemental, hateful and irrational as extreme Muslims. Both want to force their faith practices on everyone else! Fundamentalism from any faith is scary!

  • Apologetic any...? Substituting fact for faith? Ignoring truth and evidence for an empty ideology based on hypocrisy and contradictions? Oh... I am not talking about GOD, but rather human interpretation and representation of GOD. No one has to characterize the "right" as loony, you just have to turn on the tv to see that! "You LIE!" "I want my country back!" "I want Obama to fail!" "Barack the magic negro." Birthers, Czarers (Bush had 46 to Obama's 35), Deathers, & the gay looking tea parties!

  • LOL! This is politicking at it's lowest! Ask a stupid question and you'll get a stupid answer! I bet you'd get the same stupid skew if you asked Liberals "Do you think Obama is the Messiah?" Just another clumsy attempt to characterize all opponents to Obama's agenda as "loony". Give it up, already! The public ain't buying it!

  • boggywoman, go wait on the hilltop w/the rest of the looney's & get off ur PC.

  • watching this live was so great! I kept rewinding it.

  • Jesus addressed this. See Matthew 7: 21-23

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

  • Village Idiot....wooooow....i love this guy

  • So do I. He doesn't mince words, does he?

  • Thank you Mr Schaeffer....

  • If Jesus were to come back here (if he ever did exist in the first place) the first people who would scream for his head on a pike would be (Oh, you know whats comin next don't ya?)

The RepubliKKKan Party and it's fundaMENTALalist Christian core.

Standing right next to them demanding the death of their 'messiah' would be Jesus Inc.

Real Jesus would be bad for business.

American 'Christians' are by action, practicing Satanism and the funny/sad part is they are blind to their own actions.

  • As a Christian, I think the worst thing is, not only do they Ignore blatanly the teachings of Christ...but they deliberately ignore REALITY and claim "Well you can't know the mind of God." When you ask thema simple question like Why did you leave the water running".

Absolutely mindless. And as far as left behind by modernity...they WILLINGLY turn their backs on it. Even though the Bible specifically talks about knowledge being necessary...

    ...its ridiculous.

  • I have a phrase that I use which sadly fits these people. I call them 'Hypochristians'. Because they *are* hypocrites.

By choice or ignorance it doesn't matter. They do not practice what Christ preached.

That to me, is the saddest part in all of it. Jesus must be deeply embarrassed by his 'followers'. I know I would be.

'... I like your Christ and I like your Christianity but I do not like your Christians because they are nothing like your Christ.' - Mahatma Gandhi

  • Though I despise religion... I respect you NJdevil1013. I truly wish there were more Christians like you. In my opinion, religion bares only the face of GOD, but echoes the deeds of the satan. You,sir (and others like you), can change that!

    Peace

  • Fretslayer... The sheep heading to the slaughter are blind. The masters are in full knowledge!

    Great comment Fret!

  • Frank Schaeffer's father, Francis Schaeffer was the intellectual founder of the religious right - and I grew up thinking he was a hero. I was into "Apologetics" - the intellectual explanation for Evangelical Christianity. Frank speaks truth - "apologetics" requires you to ignore your gut, ignore the facts, ignore reality to "make up' intellectual sounding reasons to believe your faith. We can only hope the younger generation of Christians are smarter than their parents.

  • Hey. Have an honest question for you. Are you a Christian? I mean by that do you believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I don't know where you're coming from.

  • Yes. And it's taken me awhile to realize that being a Christian is not the same as believing that every word written in the Bible is a "Divine law" to be followed as one branch of Christianity interprets it.

  • Amen to that brother.

  • Yes, I do believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

  • OK...just wasn't sure where you were coming from....thanks.

  • Amen, Frank Schaeffer.
