I agree 200% with you on Robert Holmes, he is the greatest Dr who writer ever hands down thought The Two Doctors is one of his worst storys he has written IMO but still a great story and quite underrated IMO.

@sebbrown1 the 5 dotors wasnt the best for reasons like william hartnell had died years before his replacement was good like but not even tom showed up so pertwee stole the show really the 2nd doctor and brig never got that much airtime and the 5 doctor did nothing while the 3 doctors pat was in his prime and was refreshing to see him reprise his roll but william was on his last legs in the 3 doctors but the two doctors is a great story

@sebbrown1 in terms of numbers perhaps. i enjoyed the 5 doctors and havent seen this but goddam i doubt, based upon this trailer if its as good as the Three Doctors. that story was like the king of dr who anniversary stories. great villain, great chemistry, actually had all the doctors it advertised, expanded the mythos and propelled the characters along (Pertwee can travel in time by the end of it)

maybe? There really isn't a whole lot of interaction between the two doctors in the whole episode, and its a bit contrived and causes canon issues... unnecessarily.

@227060 My contention is Holmes knew the story line history well enough to know that the Time Lords weren't introduced until Troughton's last serial...so have a story that screws up the canon? Same issue in the 5 doctors. I believe the third doctor was supposed to be paired with the Brig and the second doctor with Jamie for the 5 doctors, but alas Hines was busy...though I don't see why Zoe couldn't have been there and had Hines character get caught in the same rift the 4th doctor did.
