You can donate dyed hair, they just don't accept bleached hair. It's on their website. Mine was dyed a couple times, just pieces of it anyway, but I donated about 2 weeks ago and just got my certificate of appreciation from them. So even if your hair is dyed, doesn't have to be virgin, donate it :]

Locks of love is so amazing! I donated 15 inches last year and even though I miss my hair, it was worth it... They send you a letter about some kid getting your hair and he is like your pen pal... It's just amazin being able to help out. Especally when you get a letter of thanks from a kid you helped

I donated my hair in 2nd grade, it was down to my butt. i want to donate it agin but in 7th grade i died my hair pink, so now it's like a light brown dirty blonde color from the bleach, even though i grew down back to like my lower back, my roots aren't grown in again because i died it brown to try to fix the nasty dirty blonde light brown color. bad idea. it just got rid of all the natural color i had growing already, and eventually my hair faded back to nastyness
