  • 6 years later i was born.

  • this is some awesome as fuck footage

  • HA one of my favourite old green day tracks.. looks like they're performing in a shed!

  • @videotime31 Might look like a shed, but it's dirty, humid, basement in a punk rock house.

  • the hihat stuff in this song is just epic

  • what started as this went on to fill stadiums as large as the wembley arena.....Epic!!!

  • what started as this went on to fill stadiums as large as the wembley arena.....Epic!!!

  • Tre looks very hot here o.O

  • I love this video so fucking much!!!

  • how did you film it and keep it for so long!?

  • @ifoughtthelawnthelaw Hmm, how did I film it, and keep it so long? Had video cam, so shot it, kept tape. Years later something called youtube was created and I figured 'hey... upload here before tape deteriorates' (it hasn't).

  • The best song!!!

  • very fantastic video!!!

  • GOD DAMN, this is great footage. I've never seen this one before. Just thinking what it must have been like to play in dingy and dark basements, to playing in huge stadiums and arenas. Unreal.

  • WOW!!! 1/2 Naked Green Day. Hot in 1992!!!!! This is really a great piece of history! Thanks

  • aztakurva billie, volt egy hajad:DDDDDDDD

  • Right before they became famous and still keep playing like that, bravo!

  • The early Green Day performances remind me so much of Op Ivy, not because of the music but because they just played anywhere and everywhere that people wanted to listen. They played for fun, fuck I wish there was more of that today...

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OMFG!!!!!!

  • green day is my favorite band of all who agrees

  • this is the sickest video

  • pretty sure mikes in his boxers....haha

  • who's the blond chick you keep zooming up on

  • @Ramones3775 The drummer? lol.

  • @sonicvisionmedia no the small blond chick in the crowd

  • Fuck Yeah.

  • Aww they were so young! :) I bet back then they had no clue they'd end up playing for thousands of ppl, have an American Idiot play, and a movie coming out. They've come so far :)

  • I wonder if they miss playing basements. Those are the best shows.

  • OMG I was there!

  • Haha what a coincidence, I was born that day :P

  • Ohhhhhhhhhhh is perfect :)

  • This was when Green Day was good

  • @mudkipman802 yeah it's is the purest condition of his music

  • @mudkipman802 Green Day has always been and will always be good.

  • Underwear show!

  • yeahhh!!

  • billy is so young in this video ... great ... long live green day

  • I'm naming this THE official music video for Going to Pasalacqua.

  • @PunkParadise90 Well thank you. I think this is my favorite comment of all on here. Cheers.

  • I remember this show!

    That was the greasiest basement...

  • They played anywhere and everywhere.

    This is in someones basement.

At least Green Day fought their way to the top, they weren't born with silver spoons in their mouth. They did it all themselves.

I hope they're truly proud of how far they've come. From playing in basements to playing 100,000 people.

  • It's. Awesome. As. F**k. I love the 39/Smooth and the Kerplunk era! They were so...perfect! I love the new eras too, but kerplunk...to me kerplunk was the best. ever.

Just one thing...Why the f**k do i have 15 and why the f**k do i live in Italy?! T.T i wish i could go back in time...And born in oakland in 1972!

  • It's. Awesome. As. Fuck. I love the 39/Smooth and the Kerplunk era! They were so...perfect! I love the new eras too, but kerplunk...to me kerplunk was the best. ever.

Just one thing...Why the fuck do i have 15 and why the fuck do i live in Italy?! T.T i wish i could go back in time...And born in oakland in 1972!

  • the loveliest love song ever! this is how songs should be written, green day is perfection. slappy and kerplunk are the best eras (not that i dont adore the new stuff). back then when they used to write songs about feelings, i love this band

  • Haha I was born that day, October 6th '92 and this is my fav Green Day song. Weird coincidence, but I love it :P

  • Amazing.

  • I'd love to see this green day's kind of shows actually... i hate to thinkin that if i wanna see these guys i'll have to pay a lot and there will be a lot of more people... that people (like the blonde girl of the video) are so so so so lucky to be there, in the right place and moment. **** them xx

  • I really wanna show all these old videos to them

  • What songs did they play for this show?

There has to be more than two.

Can you give me what you remember?

  • This video is so amazing because it captures a time period that just not exist anymore. These were the golden years. Billy Joe must look back on these videos and think "man I wish I could go back and do it all over again". Really Really awesome IMO.

  • @Joshuatrees4 I have a feeling he's rather attached to his massive cash stacks...

    so awesome IMO too,

and people wonder why I projectile vomit whenever I hear their shit from this century.

  • So fuck'n* awasome, quite old? = Yeah

     But original >!ww

  • So fuck'n* awasome, quite old? = Yeah But original >!

  • @itsmarshmallowz In which sense? The camera came in from a cold crisp night outdoors, into a hot humid sweaty basement and was fired up in minutes, steamed lens and tape and all. Plus video is somewhat processed and low res upload.

  • they went from this to milton keynes lol

  • This is just GREAT,love it

  • TRè IS SLIM!

  • It's incredible!!!this video is a piece of Greenday's History and their escalation to what they are today!!!I love theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeem!!! :D

  • Awesome as fuck!!

  • Tre?

  • @thelazerblades Yup.

  • @sonicvisionmedia lol was that Tré?

  • I finally heard this song live for the first time in August at the guys show in michigan. All i could this was, it's about TIME! lol. I've always been obsessed with songs. Thanks for posting these videos. These are my favorite kind of videos to watch.

  • by far their best song and this is the best way to see it, I loved this band on lookout

  • how fuckin good is this video!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I was 4 days old lol and they were rockin

  • Wow, great video!!

  • This is the real fucking punk? Wtf is boulevard of broken dreams...? Mi favourite band is green day., I love Gd but i wanna the gd of the first record

Green day come back to the beginins!

Sorry for my english im fron Spain LOL

  • Mike look like Henry Rollins with Black Flag! XD I like old GD shows because you don1t hear the little girls annoying screaming from the crowd!

  • how do u say pasalacqua

  • love it! thanks for posting.

  • the REAL green day

  • Who would've thought, they'll be the worlds most known punk rockers. SALUTE!!!

  • i love green day

  • I was -1 years old. Im 17 now, pretty cramped in there wtf.

  • @rudeboymd I didn't even exist back then O__o

  • I like that they dont have any shirts on ;] I love this song =D

  • i was 1 years old when this happened ^_^

  • These early songs are so burned into my soul, I could probably have a brain transplant and still remember every chord. Fucking love it

  • @danny355 Ur a saint

  • so, this was your friends basement?, So, you knew green day, waaaay back then?!?!?!

  • @StillRumouredStudios It was my friend Jesus Bonehead's house at the time. We didn't know GD really other than one of the many bands we liked and got to come play there.

  • sublime

  • HA! Thery were all jacked back then! Mike still is pretty muscular though.

  • When they sold this house they could've increased the price with like 10.000.000$ because green day played there. :)

  • i think he was 19-20 there :p

  • i mean, that SHOULD be the goal

  • you're right.

  • thats the goal for every band, to gain underground success to the point where you can fill up basement shows to the brim

  • right on.

  • that's what you call real music :)

  • is it true they only played 2 songs at this show? this and road to acceptance?

  • @derpdederp101 No, they played about 30 minutes worth if I recall, I have about 20 minutes on video but there was no light for a bunch of it. PA broke down too. Good rockin times.

  • @sonicvisionmedia dude were u there? i would pay anything to seem them back in 1990-93

  • @sonicvisionmedia were u at the show?

  • @shiquegeek Yep, that's how I video taped it.

All concert videos on this channel are by me, from gigs i was at.

  • @sonicvisionmedia ur freakin lucky!!!

  • @sonicvisionmedia That's awesome, my friend.

  • @shiquegeek AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! I whish i was there at the time......

  • @derpdederp101 No, they played about 30 minutes worth if I recall, I have about 20 minutes on video but there was no light for a bunch of it. PA broke down too. Good rockin times.

  • I am from Victoria...I was 13 when this went down...wish I had been there. There the most talented band in poular music today.

  • Was that Jason White in the background at 0:07

  • That song is so underrated, it's catchy and quick.

I think Green Day is a perfect example of "If you want some, you you gotta be the best at it and fight for it".

it's amazing how in the video they play for maybe 50 people and now they play in arenas for 50,000 people.

  • @alvaroysebastian gotta start somewhere

  • @alvaroysebastian more like 164,000 people! lol

  • @alvaroysebastian and stadiums for 100,000 people ;)

  • he was so little!!!

  • @kieranibanez He still is....

  • Sooooooo cool!

  • That was a great show, I recognize a couple of "peeps" in the background. Looks like Heather J sittin there in front of Billy boy. I was in the back somewhere. I seem to remember Dustin and Ratty throwing Billy in the ocean at one of the Mile Zero parties.

  • wow do you remeber this!!

  • 6 oct is the adrienne bithday

  • I wish around at this point in Green Day's career. would of been so cool.

To think I'm watching them play in some dingey basement right now and going to see them live at Wembley next June is surreal!

  • OMG i was sittin here watchin this thinkin "Man, Billie Joe is sooo god damned hot i wish i had of been there!!" lol

Then i looked at the description and noticed that this is the exact date i was born!! lol

    Sweeeeeeeeeet!! XD lol

    Xoxo

  • this is my fave green day song

  • I would have done anything to be there, to stand in front so close to them<3!!! IT MUST HAVE BEEN AMAZING!!! xD Billie is so cute<3... ... But i wasent even born at that time... :-/

  • @TheCilie Stop talking about Billie like that, it makes you look like a shallow fan girl.

  • love this!

  • Dayyyum! Billie joe is fucking HOT

Fuck I love Green Day :) (for so much mmore than Billies joe being the hottest thing ever)

  • So Awesome.

One Of My Favorite Green Day Songs For Sure.

They Played It When I Saw Them Last (In July)

Made Me Very Happy To Hear Their Old Stuff.

  • it's definitely tre. . sure a tthe start he walks right by the camera and you get a full view of his face lol

    great vid

btw do you know the guy who owns the basement they're playing in?

  • Yes, my friend, Jesus Bonehead (founding member & drummer for Dayglo Abortions, one of the original punk bands, still going strong), had this house at the time.

  • @sonicvisionmedia so, this was your friends basement, So, you knew green day, waaaay back then

  • @PaperLanterns94 This is 1992, some time after the other guy left. so its tre.

  • so underground the distortion and drums!

I wish nowadays was the same...

  • gotta hand it to Al Sobrante he could fucking play the shit out of those drums,.

  • If you are implying it's him here, check your facts, and eyes. That's Tre. Year is 1992 (Al left in 1990). Plus, they really don't look the same.

  • fuck, i love this CD.

    Billie is so CUUUUTEEEE!!!^^

  • Nope, they Green Day for 3 times they played here (2 basements, once in a park). BJ, Tre, & Mike.

  • amazing!!! where could i get the whole concert¿?

  • great stuff

  • oh my godd this is amazing!! bet those dudes in the audience had no idea that this band would still be going in 17 years time and selling out arenas over 4 continents?!?!?!

  • Actually, there are quite a few in our humble wee town that are quite hip to bands, and we knew that many bands have longevity (Dayglos, Nomeansno, DOA, Chili Peppers) but you're right, we didn't expect many of them to be filling the stadiums, though many of them did, and many more should have (some still should!).

  • :O do you mean you were actually in that shitty little room with green day???

  • yep, my shitty little video of GD playing in Dayglo's drummer Bonehead's shitty lil bsmt. GD played 2 bsmts in Victoria, and a city park. Fun times.

  • woww i am jealous to say the least although ive seen them live twice this year but still you were there before they became so big in like a basement thats seriously something to be proud of! by any chance do you have more than 2 videos from that gig? :)

  • I got about a total of 20minutes, but cuz it was so cold outside (fall eve) and a scorching summer day in the bsmt, the cam wouldn't work for awhile, then when it did it was steamed up for the first chunk so it's just dark and steamy but you can hear the music. I think there is maybe one more decent vid, and they talk to the cam at the end.

  • their is nothign to be proud of.

omg they went to a basement to a big 25000 person a nigth at their gig.

    you know what?

i personaly would hgave stayed in the basement with the real fans, with the one that can actually feel the music more then liking a song a just beeing crappy pop fans.

basement show: where you know your fanbase are reel fan

  • green day in her real glory days!

and why tre cool isnt playing?

  • It is Tre. Maybe looks different as it's 17 years ago and he was that much younger?

  • green day os still good but this is the best green day

  • how about classic green day.

  • Great band! I see no problem with them reviving old school punk. Singer's fantastic.

  • Why are they half naked? lol

  • cuz it's like super hot in this tiny basement packed with people during a hot October. They weren't playing big air cooled stages at this time.

  • this the green day

    i like!

  • partyman111 I Agree

  • i wish i was billie :( mentira ese weon es un pobre huevon más

  • Oh my god I wish they still did shows like this.

  • words cannot even describe this video

  • Why not try?

  • because its so awesome there are not words in the English dictionary to accurately describe it

  • even made up words can't describe it

  • you dont have to sing good to sing this song

  • Look at how far this band has come, even if your not a fan of Green Day you have to respect their success and their music, I've been listening to Green Day since I was 3, around when Dookie came out. I consider them The Beatles of my generation, both bands are phenominal, and Green Day will go down in history for what they did, they'll also go down in history for being the best live band ever.

  • Yeah man you are so right. I used to be into like heavy metal, like Slipknot and Lamb Of God, and all that shit. But green day like saved me from that shit

  • hell yea i grew up with green day best live band and best song played live by them in my opinion

  • classic!
