  • To all of the folks posting "fat girls can't dance" comments. ANYBODY can dance. Even bigots like you. I'm a size 16W and weight 182lbs. I have the EXACT SAME SIZE, shape, and stats as Marilyn Monroe, who was FAR from thin. I love belly dancing. I get a lot of complements from men (and women) who say I'm one of the most beautiful women they've ever seen. Size of the body means nothing - it's all about self-esteem. If you feel beautiful, you ARE beautiful, and these girls are beautiful.

  • Geeze, people. /The/ Rachel Brice was inspired by a roughly 300lb woman and shimmies look amazing on full figured women. Belly Dance was created by full figured women for full figured women. Us skinny girls have nothing to shimmy! That's why we depend on the belts so much more and aren't what people expect to see in traditional Belly Dance. A little more figure just accentuates the beautiful movements :) Look up Sadie. She has the most beautiful curves you'll ever see!

  • Very pretty. You guys work well together as a group. I especially love the end where everyone joins hands =)

  • I love this dance, my goodness, beautiful, I love this song, where can I find it, and who is the singer

  • @CLEOPATRAROSE1

    but...

the choreagraphy is quite slow and boring.. your coach/toy should work on creativity ;)

  • love it!

  • The dance in it self is simple and not exactly exciting, but the special thing about it is, tht it creates the sense of a living picture =)

  • when they turn to that back at the end in the black wigs it looks like they are headless....zombie bellydance.....

  • boring?

  • so fluid and beautiful :)

  • Love it!!! Love the music, the costumes, and the dance! Beautiful! Wish the camera was a little closer because I feel like I'm missing some of the detail in the wide shots, but eh, what can you do? ( :

  • nice, kinda mysterious music, eastern lang right?

  • I absolutely loved this, different girls, no stereotyping. I'm 50,this makes me want to go to bellydancing class.Look forward to seeing more! Awesome girls!

  • hey cynthia! I second the motion - I'm also 50, and at age 45, and my doc recommended I give bellydancing a try in order to help alleviate back problems, and not only did it help immensely, but I ended up performing in public - talk about a no-age-limit workout and artform, all rolled up into one! I highly encourage anyone who's curious to take a class, cuz you never know how much fun it is til you shimmy for yourself and others!

  • @hulabalu58

My name is AnnMarie and i am 44 ... i started belly dancing at 39 with chronic back pain from both a car accident and a work accident. Not only did belly dancing alleviate a lot of my pain, it also gave me back my life. I went from barely being able to walk to dancing up a storm and then having a baby at 43. I danced all the way through my pregnancy and now dance with my baby girl. we go into schools everywhere sharing this beautiful art form.

  • awesome!

    :D

  • Cool idea, matching each other, and the choreo really reflected the moves as well as highlighted them seperately.

Interesting idea and I think it came off well.

  • I loved!!!

    Bety Damballah - Brazil

  • does anyone know whats the songs name, we use it in my tribal fusion class.

  • cooooooooooooooooooooooool :)

  • Absolutely incredible! Love the music, choreography and it's execution! Well done ladies!

  • Personally I don't know what that person is talking about, as far as "fat" women go. None of these ladies deem to be "fat" in any way. They are a bunch of beautiful, gorgeous goddesses who are doing what they want and doing a fabulous job I might add.

  • enough about this fat talk people of any size can dance

this video was posted so we could comment on the dance nto the dancers bodies.

and the dance ... is BEAUTIFUL takes a lot of hard work, excellent choreography and imensley talented people to pull something as captivating as this off and you did it beautifully.

It ladies like you that make my day :D

    much love xxxxxxxx

  • Body Snarking ... easy to do on the internet, hard to do to someone's face. When people comment with the 'fat' stuff, I just write them off as yet another miserable person, with nothing better to do with their free time.

Nice work ladies. You look wonderful, all of you!!!

  • Amaziiiiiiiiiiiiingggg!!!!!

  • 4.30 to the ending is absolutely amazing choreography.

  • Why? Cant "fat" people dance? And well, if you're interested enough to watch this belly dance video, then you should at least know that being curvy is considered beautiful for this kind of dance. Not saying that you HAVE to be "fat" to dance. Anyway, what your body looks like doesnt matter. The point is to enjoy what you're doing , right? =]

  • U r very stupid, any people can do anything they want, if don like seen them it1s your problem, she daces very well and seems like it. if u don want to see, don't watch!

  • lol

  • shouldn't dance? WOW!!! wow...damned if we do, damned if we don't. so here, on behalf of all the "FAT" people out there, YOU can kiss all of our big, "FAT" asses! we'll dance if we freakin' want to and YOU can go jump into fast moving traffic. we won't miss you.

  • I'm really sorry that you've been subjected to such close-minded individuals that it has rubbed off on yourself. You shouldn't be hiding their body - neither should these girls. Bellydancing is a celebration of the body... hiding because of size is on complete contrast to what bellydancing is.

  • wow...this is the most stupid that i've read in my life!!! if u thinks that...please keep in your home forever...it will be better for the world. you aren't deserving of be called good in bellydance if you can't respect others dancers.

  • this comment go to psycoseeker

  • Senekis, I SO AGREE with you. It's funny how people say that "fat" people shouldn't dance or whatever, yet they scream and yell at them when they sit on their butts, doing NOTHING! I myself am a 'fat' person and I am doing my BEST to lose weight and become HEALTHIER! I bellydance too and I LOVE IT! Too bad people are SO into how the MEDIA constitutes STICK THIN as 'healthy' and 'pretty', which, to me is just plain UGLY. These are REAL WOMEN! BRAVO, ladies and keep doing your thing!!! :P

  • middle eastern dance is about celebrating all women with all bodies. "fat" women look amazing when they dance (especially, i think, in tribal). this is totally different than other dance forms where women are supposed to look skinny and insubstantial!

  • Opps, sorry you answered already.

  • Really good, what is the name of the music, please?

  • Wow, very well cordinated.

  • What the name's music, please.

  • Soul Talk

  • And do you happen to know where I might find it?

  • Galactic Belly Dance

  • The effect around 1:50 was so brilliant, yet very wierd to see.

It was awesome though. Kinda like a trick to the eye

  • i respect this art but the original belly dance is lost somewhere in this stage. it seems that belly dance is adjusted in the modren dance then modren dance embedded in belly dance. over all the fusion was good.
