So I really don't know alot about working on trucks but I have a 1978 gmc sierra grande. Its rear wheel drive only and as far as I know is as stock as the day it was made, I want a little bit more clearance, the back of the truck has a decent amount of clearance but the front not as much as I'd like. I don't know how acurate it would be but could ya quote me a price on givin it a little bit better clearance in the front? Thanks
@MrGreenMountainHigh The only way to lift the front of that vehicle would be to install lift coils and a ball joint spacer or upper control arm to correct alignment. Any 4 Wheel Parts store can get you a quote and the correct components to get that installed for you.
I've used Tuff Country's 2" spacers, and Daystar's 1.5" spacers on my 2 trucks. The Tuff Country spacers worked better; I actually got a full 2" of lift even after they settled in. The Daystar spacers gave 1" of lift after it they settled in.
@jwizzledizzle111 It would run about $342 (this can vary depending on the year of the vehicle) and this would include both the installation and alignment.
@XxJamieOvertonxX Since the spacer is on the top of the strut there is no additional load on the springs. Therefore no addional pressure on the coilover.
how good would it look jsut with 2" spacers and 31 inch tires, no lift kit just spacers. for jeep grand cherokee 98

@4WHEELPARTS Ok thanks, I'll keep that in mind, I have no money and may upgrade before I do that to that old of a truck but thanks

i heard spacer lifts are dangerous as the put more pressure on the coilover? is this true?
